This study aimed to identify factors influencing clinical practice satisfaction among dental hygiene students, with a focus on faculty support. Responses from 190 students with clinical experience in dental hygiene departments at several universities were analyzed. Results showed that younger students, those with moderate grades (2.5–3.4), those whose practicum lasted more than five weeks, and those who received greater informational(β=0.360, p<0.001) and instrumental(β=0.270, p<0.01) support from professors were more satisfied with their clinical practice. Based on these findings, the positive effects of informational support can be maximized when such support is provided alongside strengthened faculty communication skills, transparent evaluation criteria, and enhanced trust. Additionally, efforts to provide instrumental support, such as professors' time allocation for regular consultations, specific feedback, and the creation of a physical feedback environment, will play an important role in increasing clinical practice satisfaction.

본 연구는 치위생(학)과 학생의 임상실습에서 교수 지지를 중심으로 임상실습 만족도에 영향을 미치는 요 인을 확인하고자 진행하였다. 일부 대학 치위생(학)과의 임상실습 경험이 있는 학생 190명의 응답을 분석하였다. 그 결과 연령이 낮을수록, 성적이 중간 수준(평점 2.5-3.4점)인 경우, 실습 기간이 5주 이상인 경우 그리고 교수의 정보적 지지(β=0.360, p<0.001)와 도구적 지지(β=0.270, p<0.01)가 높을수록 임상실습 만족도가 높았다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로 교육 현장에서 정보적 지지를 충분히 제공하되 교수의 정보 전달 능력, 투명한 평가 기준 공유, 신 뢰 구축이 함께 강화될 때 정보적 지지의 긍정적 효과가 극대화 될 것이다. 또한 정기적인 상담, 구체적인 피드백 등 교수의 시간적 할애와 물리적 피드백 환경 조성 등과 같은 도구적 지지를 위한 노력이 임상실습 만족도를 높 이는 중요한 역할을 할 것이다.
