This study analyzes the concept of solidarity and its theories, which are emerging as new topics of inquiry in social philosophy today, and aims to provide a theoretical foundation for building a trusting society. “solidarity” is a concept that is debated not only in everyday language but also in academic circles in our contemporary society. We need to closely examine this concept of solidarity from an academic perspective. Accordingly, this paper examines the concept and theory of solidarity through several stages of logical development. First, it provides a phenomenological understanding of the socially popular concept of solidarity. Second, it analyzes the development and evolution of sociological solidarity theory, which provides the academic foundation for the concept of solidarity. Third, it analyzes Kurt Bayertz’s research, which divide the problems of the concept of solidarity into four categories from a normative perspective. Fourth, it presents a discussion of the concept of solidarity and its value community based on Axel Honneth’s theory of recognition. Based on the above discussion, the author concludes by suggesting several important perspectives for formulating a theory of solidarity appropriate for our times, emphasizing that this paper serves as the foundation for a social-philosophical theory for building a trustworthy society.

본 연구는 오늘날 사회철학의 새로운 탐구 주제로 부각되고 있는 연대 개념 및 그이론을 분석하고, 이를 통해 신뢰 사회 형성을 위한 이론적 토대를 제시하고자 한다. ‘연대’ 개념은 오늘날 우리의 사회 현실에서 사람들의 일상적 언어 사용에서뿐만 아니라 학문적차원에서도 상당히 논쟁적인 개념이다. 이러한 연대 개념을 학문적으로 면밀히 검토할 필요가있다. 이를 위해 본 논고는 몇 단계의 논지 전개 과정을 거쳐서 연대 개념 및 이론을 검토한다. 첫째, 사회적으로 유행하는 연대 개념에 대해 현상적으로 파악한다. 둘째, 연대 개념의 학문적토대를 갖고 있는 사회학적 차원의 연대 이론의 전개 및 발전 과정을 분석한다. 셋째, 규범론적 차원에서 연대 개념의 문제들을 4가지 범주로 구분한 쿠어트 바이어츠의 연구 성과를분석한다. 넷째, 악셀 호네트의 인정이론에서 연대 개념과 가치 공동체 논의를 제시한다. 이상의 논의를 토대로 논자는 결론에서 우리 시대에 적합한 연대 이론의 구상을 위한 몇 가지중요한 관점을 제시하고, 이것이 신뢰 사회 형성을 위한 사회철학적 이론의 토대가 된다는점을 강조한다.
