This study analyzed 33 domestic articles on nurses’ career development published between 2013 and 2024 using a scoping review approach. Findings indicated that over 60% of variables were focused on “personal psychological” and “career-related” factors, highlighting an individual-centered trend, whereas structural aspects such as “organizational environment” and “job experience” were relatively underexplored. The conclusions similarly emphasized strategies to strengthen individual competence and career management, which may limit the ability to address organizational issues. Future research requires a paradigm shift toward identifying structural barriers, while in practice, tailored career support systems and the cultivation of a positive organizational culture are essential.
