This paper proposes a new pastoral care for those in the blind spots of care by analyzing the structure of care deficiencies among young adult carers in a neoliberal society through a literature review. Young adult carers are those who, due to the unexpected illness of their parents, take on parental roles and are placed in crisis situations responsible for their families. In contemporary Korean society, these young people in crisis face many difficulties as they are often excluded from social institutional support and pastoral care that could help them maintain a stable life. The first difficulty they encounter is that, due to a lack of precise conceptualization of young adult carers, it is challenging to determine the exact subjects of care and the policies needed. The second difficulty is that young adult carers fail to properly achieve the developmental tasks they are meant to accomplish because they do not receive adequate family care. The third difficulty is examining the impact of the privatization and commodification of care in a neoliberal society, which exacerbates the problems faced by young carers The fourth difficulty is that existing church communities, which could help address the crises of young adult carers, also tend to have reduced care functions and display consumerist tendencies. Similarly, the fourth difficulty highlights that even existing church communities capable of helping young adult carers often show diminished care functions and a consumerist orientation. To overcome these issues, this paper proposes the following directions to address the challenges faced by young people who provide family care. First, pastoral care for young adult carerss should restore the theological value of universal care, going beyond selective care. Second, care is a vocation entrusted to us by God, and the church must reclaim its communal mission to fulfill the calling of care. To this end, this paper seeks to integrate the four functions of traditional pastoral care (healing, sustaining, guiding, reconciling) proposed by William A. Clebsch and Charles R. Jaekle with the principles of care ethics emphasized by Joan C. Tronto, which highlight democratic public responsibility. This integration is a theoretical attempt to present a more specific and structured public pastoral care model by combining the functions of traditional pastoral care with the democratic principles of public care. Therefore, this study represents a pastoral theological effort to theologically reflect on the public responsibilities of the church and society and to expand the horizon of their practice in order to restore the lives of young adult carers to a place of recovery.

이 논문은 문헌연구를 통해 신자유주의 사회에서 발생하는 가족 돌봄 청년의 돌봄의 결핍 구조를 분석하여 돌봄의 사각지대에 있는 이들을 위한 새로운 목회 돌봄을 제언 한다. 가족 돌봄 청년들은 현재 예기치 않은 부모의 질병으로 인해 부모 역할을 떠맡 고 가정을 책임지는 위기 상황에 놓인 청년들이다. 현재 한국 사회에서는 이런 위기 의 청년들이 안정적인 삶을 이어나갈 수 있는 사회 제도적 지원이나 목회 돌봄의 대 상에서 제외되어 많은 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이들이 겪는 첫 번째 어려움은 가족 돌봄 청년에 대한 정확한 개념 정립 부족으로 인해 정확한 돌봄의 대상과 정책을 정하기 어렵다는 것이다. 두 번째 어려움은 가족 돌봄 청년들이 적절한 가족의 돌봄을 충분 히 받지 못함으로 인해 자신들이 성취해야 할 발달의 과제를 제대로 이루지 못한다는 것이다. 세 번째 어려움은 가족 돌봄 청년의 문제를 악화시키는 신자유주의 사회의 돌봄 민영화와 경제화의 영향을 검토하는 것이다. 네 번째 어려움은 가족 돌봄 청년 의 위기를 도울 수 있는 기존 교회 공동체 역시 돌봄 기능이 축소되고 소비주의적 성향을 보이고 있다는 점이다. 네 번째 어려움은 가족 돌봄 청년들의 위기를 도와줄 수 있는 기존 교회 공동체도 돌봄의 기능이 축소되고 소비주의적인 성향을 보이는 경우 가 있다. 이런 문제들을 극복하기 위해 본 논문에서는 가족 돌봄 청년들의 문제를 극 복하기 위해 다음과 같은 방향을 제안한다. 첫째, 가족 돌봄 청년을 위한 목회 돌봄은 선택적 돌봄을 넘어 보편적 돌봄이라는 신학적 가치를 회복해야 한다. 둘째, 돌봄은 하나님께서 우리에게 맡기신 소명이며, 교회는 돌봄의 소명을 수행하는 공동체적 사 명을 회복해야 한다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 윌리엄 A. 클렙쉬(William A. Clebsch)와 찰스 R. 재클(Charles R. Jaekle)이 제시한 전통적 목회 돌봄의 네 기능(치유, 유지, 안내, 화해)과, 민주적 공공성을 강조하는 조안 트론토(Joan C. Tronto)의 돌봄 윤리 원리를 통합하고자 한다. 이러한 통합은 전통적 목회 돌봄의 기능을 공적 돌봄의 민 주적 원리와 접목함으로써, 보다 구체적이고 구조화된 공적 목회 돌봄 모델을 제시하 기 위한 이론적 시도이다. 따라서 본 연구는 가족 돌봄 청년의 삶을 회복의 자리로 되돌리기 위해, 교회와 사회의 공적 책임을 신학적으로 성찰하고 그 실천의 지평을 확장하려는 목회신학적 시도이다
