This study offers a theological reflection on the pastoral anxiety, selfishness of exclusion, and the risk of closedness that arise within worship communities reshaped by digital environments. It analyzes the crisis of worship's spatiality and communal nature through the conceptual lens of the "immunitary community." The immunitary community refers to the self-protective mechanism by which a community establishes autonomous boundaries in response to external threats, boundaries that are not limited to physical threats but also involve social and theological reconfigurations. In light of the rapid transformation of worship environments, this study draws on the concept of immunitas, as reinterpreted by ecclesiology and Roberto Esposito, to propose a new paradigm and pathways toward a transformed, open worship community, marked by acceptance, tolerance, and inclusion. It examines how the communitas-oriented ecclesia might remain open to otherness, while simultaneously liberating communal particularity and singularity from fixed identity categories. Framing Roberto Esposito’s political philosophy of immunity as its theoretical foundation, this research argues that non-face-to-face (remote) worship is not merely an exceptional response but part of a larger process of reconstituting communal identity. It further investigates whether worship in digital spaces can theologically sustain genuine communal bonds and sacramental reality, reinterpreting the theological concepts of "presence" and "participation" in worship. Through this analysis, the study explores how the Church might recover and reconstruct communal and sacramental reality in the midst of boundary shifts brought on by digital transformation, from a liturgical-theological perspective. In particular, it emphasizes that when the essence of worship is understood as mutual relationality, the reality of participation, and a theological space beyond physical location, worship in the digital age can inherit the spiritual legacy of traditional community while being expanded in new forms. In conclusion, this study proposes the concept of "worship as an immunitary community" as a theological alternative and integrative framework that demonstrates how worship in the digital age can still function as the center of community and faith practice.

본 논문은 디지털 환경 속에서 재편성되는 예배 공동체의 목회적 불안과 배제의 이기성과 폐쇄성의 위험과 예배의 장소성 및 공동체성의 위기를 '면역적 공동체‘로 개념화하여 분석 하면서 이를 신학적으로 성찰한다. 면역적 공동체란 외부로부터의 위협에 대응해 자율적 경계를 형성하고자 하는 공동체의 자기 보호 메커니즘을 지칭하며, 이는 물리적 위협뿐 아니라, 사회적·신학적 경계 재설정과도 긴밀히 연결된다. 현시대의 급격한 예배 환경의 변화에 대해 수용과 관용과 포용의 열린 예배 공동체로 나가는 변혁과 새로운 패러다임 구축을 위한 적용점을 에클레시아와 로베르토 에스포지토(Roberto Esposito)가 재해석한 이무니타스의 면역 개념을 통해 어떻게 해야 코무니타스적 에클레시아가 타자성에 개방됨 과 동시에 공동체적 개별성과 특이성을 정체성의 범주에서 해방시켜 나갈 수 있을지에 대한 방안을 제시하였다. 이에 따라, 본 연구는 에스포지토의 면역의 정치철학을 이론적 틀로 삼아, 비대면 예배가 단순한 예외적 대응이 아니라 공동체 정체성의 재구성 과정임을 밝힌다. 아울러 디지털 공간에서 이루어지는 예배가 과연 신학적으로 유효한 공동체성과 성례적 현실을 형성할 수 있는지를 논구(論究)하며 예배의 '현존(presence)'과 '참여(participation)' 개념을 재해 석한다. 이러한 분석을 통해, 디지털 전환이 야기하는 경계의 재배치 속에서 교회가 어떠한 방식으로 공동체성과 성례전적 실재를 회복하고 재구성할 수 있는지를 예배학적 관점에서 제안한다. 특히 예배의 본질을 공동체적 상호성, 참여의 실재성, 그리고 장소를 넘어선 신학적 공간으로 이해할 때, 디지털 시대의 예배 역시 전통적 공동체의 영적 유산을 계승하 면서 새로운 형태로 확장될 수 있음을 강조한다. 결론적으로 본 연구는 ‘면역공동체로서의 예배’ 개념이 디지털 시대 속에서 예배가 여전 히 공동체성과 신앙 실천의 중심으로 기능할 수 있음을 보여주는 하나의 신학적 대안이자 통합적 프레임워크로 제시하였다.
