This study adopts a constructivist perspective in International Relations to examine the co-constructive mechanism between China's ‘role perception’ and ‘norm formation’ in global governance. Using the concept of the "Community of Shared Future for Mankind" as a core case, it explores how this idea is institutionalized and how it shapes China’s national role perception in global governance practices. The analysis focuses on two key aspects: first, how the idea draws on Confucian cultural resources, such as ‘relationality’ and ‘harmony,’ to construct a global normative narrative; and second, how this normative narrative gradually consolidates China’s role perception as a ‘responsible major power’ through multilateral diplomacy, institutional creation, and discursive practices. China's engagement in global governance is not only a strategic choice but also a progressive process of role perception and norm construction. This research contributes to an expanded understanding of China’s dynamic identity in diplomacy and validates the explanatory power of constructivist theory in non-Western contexts.

본 연구는 구성주의 국제관계이론의 관점에서 중국의 글로벌 거버넌스 참여 과정에서 나타나는 ‘역할 인식’과 ‘규범 형성’ 간의 상호 구성 메커니즘을 고찰한다. 핵심 사례로 ‘인 류운명공동체’ 이념을 설정하고, 해당 이념이 어떠한 방식으로 규범화되며, 글로벌 거버넌스 실천 속에서 중국의 국가 역할 인식을 어떻게 형성·구조화하는지를 중심으로 분석한다. 구 체적으로 첫째, 인류운명공동체 이념이 유교적 ‘관계성’과 ‘화합(和合)’ 등 문화적 자원을 어떻게 흡수하여 글로벌 규범 담론을 구성하는지를 분석한다. 둘째, 이러한 규범 담론이 다자외교, 제도 창설, 담론 실천 등의 경로를 통해 국제적 상호작용 속에서 중국의 ‘책임 있는 대국’이라는 역할 인식을 점진적으로 형성하고 공고화하는 과정을 검토한다. 본 논문은 중국의 글로벌 거버넌스 참여를 단순한 전략적 선택이 아닌, 역할 인식과 규범 형성이 상호 작용하며 전개되는 점진적 과정으로 이해한다. 이를 통해 중국 외교의 동적 정체성 구축에 대한 이해를 확장하고, 비서구적 맥락에서 건설주의 이론의 설명력을 검증하고자 한다.
