This study empirically investigates the dual functions of entrepreneurial education, conceptualizing it metaphorically as both a “spear” and a “shield.” The “spear” metaphor highlights how entrepreneurial education can foster innovation and drive entrepreneurial growth by equipping individuals with essential skills and knowledge. Conversely, the “shield” metaphor illustrates that overly prescriptive or rigid educational frameworks may limit autonomy and creativity, consequently hindering entrepreneurial progress. This research examines the interplay of entrepreneurial education and individual characteristics on entrepreneurial intention. By providing insights into the multifaceted impacts of entrepreneurial education, this study contributes to the scholarly discourse and offers practical recommendations for optimizing educational programs to effectively accommodate diverse learner profiles.
