Objective: This study examined the effects of sexual satisfaction, self-esteem, and depression on satisfaction with social relationships in adults with developmental disabilities. Methods: Data from 245 adults with developmental disabilities were analyzed using the 5th Panel Survey of Disabilities conducted by the Korean Disabled People’s Development Institute (2022). Analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation, and multiple regression analyses were performed. Results: The multiple regression analysis showed that final educational attainment (β = -0.125, p = 0.031), depression (β = -0.328, p = 0.001), limitations in sexual activity due to developmental disabilities (β = 0 .136, p = 0.024), and sexual satisfaction over the past year (β = 0 .139, p = 0.019) had a significant effect on satisfaction with social relationships. The explanatory power of the model is 18.8% (Adjusted R² = 0.188). Conclusion: This study found that education, depression, and sexual satisfaction significantly influence social relationships among adults with developmental disabilities. These findings highlight the need for integrated occupational therapy support to enhance their social participation.

목적: 본 연구는 발달장애인의 우울, 자아존중감, 성생활 만족도가 사회적 관계 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 자 하였다. 연구방법: 한국장애인개발원의 제5차 장애인 삶 패널조사(2022) 데이터를 활용하여 성인 발달장애인 245명 자료를 분석하였다. 일반적 특성에 따른 사회적 관계 만족도 차이는 일원분산분석(ANOVA)를 사용하였고, 주요 변수 간 관계를 분석하기 위해 상관분석을 실시하였다. 일반적 특성, 우울, 자아존중감, 성생활 만족도를 독립변수로 하여 사회적 관계 만족도에 미치는 영향을 다중회귀분석을 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과: 본 연구의 다중회귀분석 결과 최종학력(β = -0.125, p = 0.031), 우울(β = -0.328, p = 0.001), 발달장애로 인한 성적 활동의 제한(β = 0 .136, p = 0.024), 지난 1년간 성생활 만족도(β = 0.139, p = 0.019)가 사회적 관계 만족도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 모형의 설명력은 18.8% (Adjusted R² = 0.188)이다. 결론: 본 연구 결과를 통해 학력, 우울, 성생활 만족도가 발달장애인의 사회적 관계에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이에 발달장애인에게 교육 기회의 확대와 정서 및 사회적 지원, 성적 권리 존중을 포함한 통합적 작업치료 접근의 필요성을 시사한다.
