In recent years, young people struggling to enter privilege have emerged at the center of a politics of hostility toward migrants. This study explores migrant co-existence education for university students through Jacques Derrida’s “philosophy of hospitality.” It interprets Derrida’s life as that of a “border-crosser” and situates his hospitality within deconstruction. It then compares his account with Immanuel Kant and Emmanuel Levinas to show why the infinite tension between “conditional” and “unconditional” hospitality must be addressed in political ethics, and how he develops this logic. Finally, focusing on students in their twenties through the notion of “transclasses,” the paper proposes three pedagogical orientations for hospitality education: intersectionality of discrimination, diversity of composition, and the inevitability of failure.

최근 이주민 혐오 정치의 핵심에 기득권 진입에 어려움을 겪는 청년 세대가 빠르게 부각하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 대학생을 위한 이주민 공생 교육을 모색하며 데리다의 ‘환대 철학’을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 먼저 철학자의 ‘경계인’으로서의 삶을 이해하고, ‘해체 철학’과의 관계 속에서 ‘환대 철학’을 평가한다. 또한 칸트와 레비나스와의 비교 를 통해, 그가 ‘조건적 환대’와 ‘무조건적 환대’의 무한한 갈등과 긴장 을 정치윤리의 장에서 요청하는 이유와 그 논리 전개를 살펴볼 것이 다. 마지막 장에서는 본 논문의 교육적 관심 대상으로서 20대 대학생 집단의 특성을 ‘계급 횡단자들’이라는 개념으로 파악하고, 이들을 위해 환대 교육이 지향해야 할 세 가지 방향을 제시하고자 한다.
