This paper considers the effects on life of technological developments aimed at enhancing human capacities in the era of transhumanism from an ethical perspective, and explores the unique role that ethical counseling can play in this context. Transhumanism asserts that science and technology can overcome and enhance human limitations, but in reality, there is a contradiction in that technology has a negative impact on human dignity, autonomy, and reflective abilities. In such a transhumanist era, ethical counseling can establish a philosophical foundation that enables students to recognize dignity, strengthen autonomy, and improve reflective abilities, ultimately leading them to view humans as ends in themselves rather than means in a technology-centric society.

본 논문은 트랜스휴머니즘 시대에 인간 능력 향상을 위한 기술의 발전 이 삶에 미치는 영향을 윤리적 관점에서 고찰하고, 이러한 맥락 속에서 윤리상담이 수행할 수 있는 역할을 탐색하였다. 트랜스휴머니즘은 과학 기술을 통해 인간의 한계를 극복하고 향상할 수 있다고 주장하지만, 현 실에서는 기술이 인간의 존엄성, 자율성, 성찰 능력에 부정적 영향을 미 치는 모순이 발생하고 있다. 그러한 트랜스휴머니즘 시대에 윤리상담은 학생들이 존엄성을 인식하고, 자율성을 강화하며, 성찰 능력을 제고함으 로써 궁극적으로 기술 중심 사회에서도 인간을 수단이 아닌 목적 그 자 체로 바라보게 하는 철학적 기반을 마련하게 할 수 있을 것이다.
