This study conducts a comparative analysis of female growth narratives in the Netflix animated series K-Pop Demon Hunters and the Disney animated films Mulan and Frozen, with a particular focus on K-Pop Demon Hunters. The female protagonists of the three works are situated in distinct sociocultural contexts, respectively represented by a premodern family lineage, a royal household, and the idol industry. This study examines how these contexts impose role expectations and social pressures on female characters and discusses the narrative conditions under which female subjectivity is formed and articulated in each work. In particular, K-Pop Demon Hunters is situated within the context of digital environments and social media, and its narrative is comparatively analyzed in relation to Mulan and Frozen, which are grounded in traditional conceptions of historical temporality. Furthermore, by examining the mythic hero narrative structures and philosophical symbolism embedded in the three works, this study explores shifts in the ways contemporary K-content represents female subjectivity. The analysis reveals that K-Pop Demon Hunters departs from individual-centered hero narratives and foregrounds a form of female subjectivity constituted through relationships and solidarity, reflecting a narrative characteristic of the digital age. Through this analysis, the study illuminates how female subjectivity in the digital era is constructed not as the outcome of individual growth but as a process of relational and collective performance.

본 연구는 넷플릭스 애니메이션 <케이팝 데몬 헌터스>에 나타난 여성 성장 서사를 중심으로 디즈니 애니메이션 <뮬란>과 <겨울왕국>의 여성 주인공 서사를 비 교 분석한다. 세 작품의 주인공들은 각각 전근대적 가문, 근대적 왕가, 현대적 아이돌이라는 서로 다른 사회문화적 배경을 지니고 있다. 이러한 배경이 여성 캐릭터 들에게 부과하는 역할 기대와 사회적 압박을 고찰하고 각 작품에서 여성 주체성이 어떠한 서사적 조건 속에서 형성되고 발현되는지를 논의한다. 특히 <케이팝 데몬 헌터스>를 디지털 환경과 소셜미디어 맥락 속에 위치시키고 이를 전통적 시대관을 전제로 한 <뮬란>과 <겨울왕국>의 서사와 비교 분석한다. 아울러 세 작품에 내 재된 신화적 영웅 서사 구조와 철학적 상징을 검토함으로써 현대 K-콘텐츠가 여성 주체성을 재현하는 방식의 변화를 살펴본다. 분석 결과 <케이팝 데몬 헌터스>는 개인 중심의 영웅 서사에서 벗어나 관계와 연대를 통해 구성되는 여성 주체성을 전면화하는 디지털 시대적 서사 특성을 드러낸다. 이를 통해 디지털 시대 여성 주 체성이 개인 중심의 성장 서사를 넘어 관계적, 집단적 수행을 통해 구성되는 양상을 조명한다.
