This study defines the concept of Everyday Culture Convergence Content (ECCC) and examines its socio-cultural significance. Using Jenkins (2006)’s convergence theory as a foundation, we constructed an interdisciplinary analytical framework incorporating serious leisure theory, project-based leisure theory, flow theory, theories of cultural capital and social capital, and concepts of cultural sustainability. A qualitative comparative case study (QCCS) method was employed to observe how local community members voluntarily engage in everyday cultural activities that exhibit characteristics of content convergence, the process of which was analyzed deeply. The analysis found that grassroots everyday cultural activities function as forms of serious leisure and project-based leisure, accompanied by deep flow states. Through these activities, participants accumulated cultural competence and community social capital, resulting in a convergent content form that integrates creative and heterogeneous activity elements. In conclusion, ECCC empowers local residents as active creators and consumers of culture, thereby realizing cultural democracy, and this study determined that ECCC substantially contributes to the formation of community cultural and social capital. These grassroots cultural practices contribute to stronger community cohesion and demonstrate the potential for cultural sustainability. This research highlights the value and potential of everyday culture-driven convergent content, suggesting the necessity for regional cultural policy and the content industry to recognize and support the importance of the everyday culture domain.

본 연구는 풀뿌리 생활문화 융합 콘텐츠(Everyday Culture Convergence Content: ECCC)의 개념을 정립하고 그 사회문화적 의의를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 Jenkins (2006)의 융합이론을 바탕으로 진지한 여가 이론, 몰입 이론, 문화자본·사회자본 이론, 지속가능성 담론 등을 통합한 학제적 분석틀을 마련하였다. 연구 방 법으로 생활문화 현장의 질적 사례연구(QCCS)를 수행하여, 지역 주민들이 자발적으로 참여하는 생활문화 활동이 다양한 콘텐츠 융합의 양상을 띠는 과정을 심층 적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 풀뿌리 생활문화 활동은 진지한 여가와 프로젝트 기반 여가로서의 특성을 보였으며 깊은 몰입 경험을 수반하고 있었다. 또한 이러 한 활동을 통해 참여자들은 문화적 역량과 공동체 사회자본을 축적하고 있었으며, 이질적인 활동 요소가 결합된 창의적인 융합 콘텐츠의 형태로 나타났다. 결론적 으로, ECCC는 지역 주민을 문화 생산과 향유의 주체로 참여시켜 문화민주주의를 구현하고, 공동체의 문화자본 및 사회적 자본 형성에 실질적으로 기여함을 규명 하였다. 이러한 풀뿌리 문화실천은 지역 공동체의 유대 강화와 문화적 지속가능성에 기여함을 보여준다. 본 연구는 생활문화를 기반으로 한 융합 콘텐츠의 가치와 가능성을 조명함으로써, 향후 지역문화 정책과 콘텐츠 산업에서 생활문화 영역의 중요성을 재인식하고 지원할 필요성을 시사한다.
