The purpose of this study is to examine how the technology acceptance factors of smart libraries influence perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and intention to use, and to verify the applicability of an extended TAM model in the context of smart library services. To this end, the technology acceptance model (TAM) was adopted as the theoretical foundation, and an extended model was proposed by incorporating four external variables-system reliability, information quality, interactivity, and technological innovativeness-reflecting the characteristics of smart libraries. Using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 24.0, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, reliability tests, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and structural equation modeling (SEM) were conducted on 211 valid responses. The analysis results showed that most external variables had significant effects on perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness, with interactivity and information quality having positive effects on both variables. In contrast, the effects of system reliability on perceived usefulness and technological innovativeness on perceived ease of use were not statistically significant. This finding suggests that users already perceive public library systems as trustworthy public services and that they place greater importance on accessibility and convenience of use than on advanced technological functions. Moreover, the fundamental causal paths of the TAM were verified to be valid within the domain of public cultural services. These results imply that smart libraries should evolve beyond technology-centered information systems toward public cultural service platforms that enhance user experience and digital inclusiveness. In other words, user-centered service design, trust-based operational management, and accessibility-oriented interface improvement can be proposed as sustainable development strategies for smart libraries in the future.

본 연구의 목적은 스마트도서관의 기술수용 요인이 지각된 용이성, 유용성 및 이용의도에 미치는 영향을 규명하고, 확장된 TAM 모형의 적용 가능성을 검증하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 기술수용모형(technology acceptance model)에 스마트도서관의 특성을 반영하여 시스템 신뢰성, 정보 품질, 상호작용성, 기술 혁신성 등 네 가지 외생변수가 추가된 확장모형을 제시하였다. 연구를 위해 SPSS 26.0과 AMOS 24.0을 이용하여 수집된 211부 유효자료에 대하여 빈도분석, 기술통계, 신뢰도 검증, 확인적 요인분석(CFA) 및 구조방정식모형(SEM) 분석을 진행하였다. 분석 결과, 대부분의 외생변수가 지각된 용이성과 지각된 유용성에 유의한 영향을 미쳤 으며, 특히 상호작용성과 정보 품질은 두 변수 모두에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 반면, 시스템 신뢰성이 지각된 유용성에 미치는 영향과 기술 혁신성이 지각된 용이 성에 미치는 영향은 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 이는 이용자들이 공공도서관 시스템을 이미 신뢰가능한 공공서비스로 인식하고 있으며, 첨단 기술보다 접근성과 사용 편리성을 더 중요시한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 TAM의 기본 경로가 공공문화서비스 영역에서도 유효하게 적용되고 있음이 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 스마 트도서관이 기술 중심의 정보 시스템을 넘어 이용자 경험과 디지털 포용성을 강화하는 공공문화서비스 플랫폼으로 발전하고 있다는 것을 시사한다. 즉, 이용자 중 심의 서비스 설계, 신뢰 기반의 운영관리, 그리고 접근성 중심의 인터페이스 개선 등이 스마트도서관의 지속적 발전을 위한 전략안으로 활용될 수 있기 때문이다.
