As the demand for aviation grows both in domestic and global, more people are becoming interested in working as aircraft maintenance technicians. In South Korea, these technicians are trained at high schools, vocational colleges, and universities; in 2024, about 772 students obtained their maintenance licenses after finishing these programs. As of April 2025, there are 38 training institutions approved by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT), producing 3,525 graduates every year. With the Korean aviation industry getting bigger, there is a need for more skilled technicians. To meet the needs of the actual industry and train high-quality workers, it is important examine the standard textbooks used in currently operating educational institutions.. For this reason, this study compared the training hours and courses in South Korea with those of ICAO, FAA, and EASA. The research focuses on whether the use of aviation maintenance technician training materials is appropriate and if the trraining courses are being managed effectively to prepare students for the field.

국내외 항공 수요 증가와 함께 항공정비사에 대한 수요도 늘어나고 있으며, 이에 따른 항공정비사 취업에 관한 관심도 증가하고 있다. 국내에서 항공정비사를 양성 하는 교육은 고등학교, 직업전문대학, 대학 등에서 수행되며, 교육과정을 완료한 인 원 중에서 2024년에는 약 772명이 항공정비사 자격증을 취득하였다. 국토교통부 항 공정비사 양성 교육기관은 2025년 4월 기준, 총 38개로 배출 인원은 연 3,525명이 다. 국내 항공산업 규모가 확대됨에 따라 더 많은 정비사 인원이 요구되고 있다. 항 공산업 현장의 요구에 맞춰서 항공정비사 교육과정 커리큘럼의 교육 품질이 향상되 도록 노력하며 또한, 이를 통해 양질의 항공정비사를 배출할 수 있도록 현재 운영되 는 교육기관의 교육과정 표준교재에 대해 살펴볼 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 우리나라, ICAO, FAA, EASA 등의 항공정비사 자격증 교육기관의 교육 시간과 교육과정을 비교 분석하여 살펴보았다. 항공정비사 교육교재 사용은 적정한 지, 교육과정 운영은 적정하게 진행되는지 등을 연구하였다.
