This study was conducted to investigate the effect of college students' happiness on college life adaptation and major satisfaction. The subjects of this study were 425 students enrolled in four-year universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Statistical processing of the collected data was analyzed using SPSS WIN V.23.0, and reliability analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and regression analysis were performed. The research results are summarized as follows. First, college students' happiness, adaptation to college life, and major satisfaction were generally recognized as ‘normal' or higher. Second, as a result of analyzing the relationship between college students' happiness and college life adaptation, a significant correlation was confirmed. Third, as a result of analyzing the relationship between college students' happiness and major satisfaction, a similar significant correlation was confirmed. Fourth, as a result of examining the influence of college students' happiness on college life adaptation, it was found that happiness affects college life adaptation. Fifth, as a result of examining the influence of college students' happiness on major satisfaction, it was found that happiness affects major satisfaction. It was confirmed that autonomy, personal growth, purpose of life, positive interpersonal relationships, and self-acceptance, which are sub-factors of happiness, affect major satisfaction. The results of this study are significant in that they confirmed that college students' happiness is an important factor in improving college life adaptation and major satisfaction.

이 연구는 대학생을 대상으로 행복감이 대학생활적응과 전공만족도에 미치는 영향을 탐구하기 위해 수행되 었다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울과 경기도 지역 4년제 대학 재학 중인 학생 425명이다. 수집된 자료에 대한 통계 처리는 SPSS WIN V.23.0을 사용하여 분석되었으며, 신뢰도분석, 빈도분석, 기술통계, 상관분석, 회귀분석을 시 행하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대학생의 행복감, 대학생활적응, 전공만족도는 대채로 ‘보 통이다’수준 이상으로 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 대학생의 행복감과 대학생활적응의 관계를 분석한 결과, 유의 미한 상관관계를 확인하였다. 셋째, 대학생의 행복감과 전공만족도의 관계를 살펴본 결과 마찬가지로 유의미 한 관계를 확인하였다. 넷째, 대학생의 행복감과 대학생활적응에 대한 영향력을 살펴본 결과 행복감은 대학생 활적응에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하위요인 중 환경에 대한 통제력을 제외한 모든 요인이 영향을 주었 다, 다섯째, 대학생의 행복감이 전공만족도에 미치는 영향력을 살펴본 결과 행복감은 전공만족도에 영향을 미 치는 것으로 나타났다. 행복감의 하위요인인 자율성, 개인성장, 삶의목적, 긍정적 대인관계, 자아수용이 전공만 족도에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과는 대학생의 행복감이 대학생활적응을 높이고, 전공만족 도를 높이는 데 중요한 역할을 하는 요임임을 확인하였다는 점에 의의가 있다.
