This study applied big data analysis techniques to examine the tourism, economic, and cultural value of the National Marine Sports Festival and to derive future revitalization strategies. A total of 20,916 unstructured online data entries generated between 2006 and September 2, 2025, were collected and analyzed using text mining, TF-IDF, semantic network analysis, and CONCOR analysis. The results identified four key categories: “policy, operation, and governance,” “regions and participants,” “events and disciplines,” and “festival and experiential tourism.” The findings reveal that the National Marine Sports Festival functions not merely as a sporting competition but as a comprehensive platform that contributes to regional economic revitalization, increased tourist inflows, expanded social inclusiveness, and enhanced urban brand value. Accordingly, this study presents practical revitalization strategies?such as developing region-specific intellectual property, linking the event with local festivals and experiential tourism programs, and operating multi-layered customized programs? thereby providing strategic implications for the National Marine Sports Games to advance into a sustainable marine sports tourism event.

본 연구는 전국해양스포츠제전의 관광·경제·문화적 가치를 규명하고 향후 활성화 방안을 도출하기 위해 빅데이터 분석 기법을 적용하였다. 2006년부터 2025년 9월 2일까지 약 20년간 온라인에서 생성된 20,916건의 비정형 데이터를 수집하여 텍스트마이닝, TF-IDF, 의미연결망분석 및 CONCOR 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, ‘정책·운영 및 거버넌 스’, ‘지역과 참가자’, ‘경기 및 종목’, ‘축제·체험 관광’의 네 가지 핵심 범주가 도출되었다. 이를 통해 전국해양스포츠제전 이 단순한 체육대회를 넘어 지역경제 활성화, 관광객 유입, 사회적 포용성 확대, 도시 브랜드 가치 제고에 기여하는 종합 플랫폼임이 드러났다. 따라서, 본 연구는 지역 특화 IP 개발, 지역 축제·체험 관광 프로그램 연계, 다층적 맞춤형 프로그램 운영 등 실질적 활성화 전략을 제시함으로써, 전국해양스포츠제전이 지속가능한 해양스포츠 관광 이벤트로 발전할 수 있는 전략적 시사점을 제공하였다.
