The purpose of this study was to provide suggestions on the necessity of setting Korean names in Japan by summarizing the preceding theories on the names of Korean and Korean languages in Japan, and investigating and analyzing the perceptions of the public of various attributes of Korean and Korean names in Japan, which were not covered in depth in previous studies. As a research method, it was analyzed in a semantic differential method how the names of the five types of Korean names are the same and different depending on the affiliation, role, age, and mother of the survey subjects.

본 연구는 재일 한국・조선어의 호칭에 대한 선행론을 정리하고, 선행연구에서는 깊이 있게 다루어지지 않았던 다양한 속성의 언어 대중이 재일 한국・조선어 호칭에 대해 어떠한 인식을 가지고 있는지 조사・분석함으로써 사용자와 수요자가 중심이 되는 재일 조선어 호칭 설정의 필요성에 대해 제언하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구 방법으로서는 조사 대상자의 소속, 역할, 연령, 모어에 따라 ‘한국어(韓国語)’, ‘조선 어(朝鮮語)’, ‘한글(ハングル)’, ‘우리말(ウリマル)’, ‘한국・조선어(韓国・朝鮮語)’의 5 종의 명칭이 어떻게 같고 다른 이미지를 가지고 있는지 의미미분법으로 분석하였다.
