This study investigated the impact of systemic diseases and health management behaviors on the experience of dental caries treatment among Korean adults. Using combined data from the 8th and 9th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2019–2023), a total of 17,292 participants were analyzed with IBM SPSS version 21.0. Complex sample cross-tabulations and logistic regression analyses were performed (p<.05). Independent variables included general characteristics (age, sex, household income), health management behaviors (type of health insurance, private insurance, et al), systemic diseases (hypertension, dyslipidemia, et al), and oral health behaviors (chewing discomfort, toothache, et al). The dependent variable was defined as the experience of dental caries treatment. The findings revealed that multiple systemic and behavioral factors significantly influenced whether individuals received treatment for dental caries.

본 연구는 우리나라 성인의 전신질환과 건강관리행태가 치아우식증 치료 경험에 미치는 영향을 분석한 연구이다. 이를 위해 제8-9차(2019～2023년) 국민건강영양조사 원시 자료를 기수 간 통합하여 활용하였고, 총 17,292명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 통계 분석은 IBM SPSS 버전 21.0을 사용하였다. 통계 방법은 복합표본 교차분석을 사용하여 치아우식증 치료 경험과 관련된 독립변수의 분포에 차이가 있는지 확인하였고, 복합표본 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하여 전신질환과 건강관리행태가 치아우식증 치료 경험에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다(p<.05). 일반적 특성 변수로는 연령대, 성별, 가구소 득 등을 사용하였고, 건강관리행태 특성 요인으로는 건강보험종류, 민간의료보험 가입 여부, 경제 활동 여부 등을 사용하 였다. 전신질환 변수로는 고혈압, 이상지질혈증, 당뇨병 의사진단 여부 등을 사용하였고, 구강 건강관리행태 변수로는 저작 불편 호소 여부, 치통 경험 유무, 씹기 문제, 말하기 문제 등을 독립변수로 사용하였다. 종속변수는 치아우식증 치료 경험 여부를 사용하였다. 분석 결과, 치아우식증 치료 경험은 여러 요인에 기인하는 것으로 나타났다.
