The purpose of this study was to identify the degree of post-traumatic growth (PTG) in stroke survivors and to investigate the factors influencing it. This descriptive survey study was conducted by conveniently sampling and surveying 93 stroke patients at a general hospital located in D city. The collected data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the SPSS/WIN 28.0 program. The average score of PTG experienced by stroke survivors was 38.3±17.9 points, indicating a slight experience of growth. The factors significantly influencing PTG, in order of significance, were found to be depression (p=.006), social support (p=.005), self-esteem (p=.033), and education level (p=.031), with the total explanatory power of these factors being 33.1%. These findings suggest that PTG in stroke survivors is a process of reconstructing the meaning of life and achieving personal growth through the traumatic event of a sudden onset of stroke. Therefore, rehabilitation nursing interventions focusing on managing depression and self-esteem and strengthening social support should be developed to promote PTG.

본 연구의 목적은 뇌졸중 생존자의 외상 후 성장 정도를 확인하고 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 규명하는 것이다. 서술 적 조사연구로 D시에 위치한 일 종합병원에서 뇌졸중 환자 93명을 편의표집하여 설문조사하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 28.0 프로그램을 이용하여 다중선형회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 뇌졸중 생존자의 외상 후 성장 정도는 평균 38.3±17.9 점으로 조금 경험하는 수준이었다. 외상 후 성장에 대한 영향요인은 우울(p=.006), 사회적 지지(p=.005), 자아존중감 (p=.033), 교육수준(p=.031) 순으로 나타났으며, 전체 설명력은 33.1%였다. 이를 통해 뇌졸중 생존자의 외상 후 성장은 갑작 스러운 발병이라는 외상사건을 통해 삶의 의미를 재구성하고 개인적 성장을 이루는 과정임을 알 수 있다. 따라서 외상 후 성장 을 촉진하기 위해 뇌졸중 후 우울과 자아존중감을 관리하고, 사회적 지지를 강화하는 재활간호중재가 개발되어야 할 것이다.
