This study aimed to discuss the service effectiveness of occupational therapy as a community care for people with developmental disabilities living in the community. To this end, it systematically analyzed the activity performance and participation of people with developmental disabilities and provided a framework for individual evaluation and intervention to strengthen an individualized approach. The subject of the study was selected as one person with developmental disabilities living in a supportive housing for the disabled, and the subject's rehabilitation needs were analyzed using the Canadian Occupational Performance Measure (COPM). In addition, the derived rehabilitation needs and goals were scaled and analyzed using the Goal Attainment Scaling (GAS). The results showed that both COPM performance and satisfaction improved, and the analysis using the GAS also confirmed that all individual goal areas had higher than expected achievement levels. These results demonstrated that occupational therapy, which has the characteristics of a client-centered approach, is effective in improving the functional independence and satisfaction of people with developmental disabilities. This study emphasizes the importance of occupational therapy services as part of community care for people with developmental disabilities and aims to provide basic data on improving service quality and institutional necessity.

본 연구는 지역사회에 거주하는 발달장애인을 위한 커뮤니티 케어 환경에서 작업치료의 서비스 효과성을 논의하고자 하 였다. 이를 위해 발달장애인의 활동 수행과 참여를 체계적으로 분석하고, 개별적 평가와 중재의 틀을 제공함으로써 개별 화된 접근을 강화하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 장애인지원주택에 거주하는 발달장애인 1인으로 선정되었으며, COPM(Canadian Occupational Performance Measure)을 활용하여 대상자의 재활 욕구를 분석하였다. 또한, 도출된 재활 욕 구와 목표를 GAS(Goal Attainment Scaling)로 척도화하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 COPM 수행도와 만족도에서 모두 향상 이 나타났으며, GAS를 통한 분석에서도 모든 개별 목표 영역에서 기대 이상의 성취 수준이 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 통해 클라이언트 중심 접근의 특성을 갖는 작업치료가 발달장애인의 기능적 독립성과 만족도를 향상시키는 데 효과적임 을 입증하였다. 본 연구는 발달장애인을 위한 커뮤니티 케어의 일환으로 작업치료 서비스의 중요성을 강조하며, 서비스 품질 제고와 제도적 필요성에 대한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 한다.
