The importance of national security is growing amid global issues such as the Russia-Ukraine war, U.S.–China tensions, Middle East conflicts, and North Korea’s nuclear and missile threats. This study empirically analyzes the structure and characteristics of national security discourse in Korean society and derives policy implications and development directions. For this purpose, 20,300 media reports and academic studies published between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2025, were collected and analyzed using big-data-based text mining and social network analysis. The results show that issues related to security, diplomacy, and the economy dominate the discourse, with the United States, Japan, China, and Russia emerging as closely connected key actors. Furthermore, the concept of complex security that integrates politics, diplomacy, economy, and technology is expanding, forming a multi-layered structure combining traditional and non-traditional security. Based on these findings, the study proposes strategic and policy directions that link short-term responses with long-term national strategies, reinforce the roles of economic and technological domains, and expand multilateral diplomatic networks.

국제사회는 러-우 전쟁과 미·중 갈등, 중동 분쟁, 북한의 핵·미사일 위협 등 국가안보의 중요성이 증대되고 있다. 본 연구는 한국 사회의 국가안보에 관한 담론의 구조와 특성을 실 증적으로 분석하고 그를 통한 정책적 발전 방향성 및 시사점을 도출하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 최근 3년에 해당하는 2022년 7월 1일부터 2025년 6월 30일까지의 총 20,300 건의 언론보도와 학술 연구를 수집하여, 빅데이터 기반의 텍스트마이닝과 사회연결망 분석 을 하였다. 연구 결과, 안보, 외교, 경제와 관련된 이슈가 주요 담론을 형성하였고, 미국, 일본, 중국, 러시아 등 주변국이 주요 행위자로 밀접한 연관성을 보였다. 또한 정치, 외교, 경제, 기술을 결합한 복합적 안보 개념으로 확장되고, 전통적 안보와 비전통적 안보 개념이 혼합된 다층적인 구조가 형성되고 있었다. 연구를 통해, 국가안보에 관한 단기적 측면의 현 안 대응과 국가 차원의 통합적 전략 및 경제 및 기술 영역의 위상 강화, 다자적 외교 네트 워크의 확대 등 향후 국가안보 전략의 방향성과 정책 발전을 위한 제언을 제시하였다.
