This study aims to determine the authenticity of "Jinggak Ajipdo(澄閣雅集圖)", which depicts the ajip gathering held at Jingcheonggak(澄淸閣) in the Daegu provincial office during summer of 1784. For this purpose, related records of the ajip, together with Kim Hong-do's brush techniques, painting style and artistic practice, were empirically examined through a seven-stage process, focusing on the characteristics and stlistic changes of each period to examine the development of his pictorial art. The literary gathering scenes depicted in the letters of Seong Dae-jung and Hong Won-seop closely correspond to the published work, revealing a composition of tea brewing under an old paulownia tree, the Southern School-style Seongseo-brush techniques, and Kim Hong-do's unique iconographical habits are clearly evident. Above all, the discovery of the "Wonjang Aiyeo(元章愛餘)," which contains the same inscription as the "Jinggak Ajipdo(澄閣雅集圖)," goes beyond the simple circumstances of the stamp and provides valuable clues to the artistic spirit and cultural chronology pursued by late Joseon literati painters, with an interpretive eye. "Jinggak Ajipdo" possesses pictorial and documentary value, demonstrating the true nature of literati painting styles and actual scenes of a specific era, location, and personage.

본 연구는 1784년 여름 대구 감영 징청각(澄淸閣)에서 열린 아집 장면을 묘사 한 〈징각아집도〉의 실체를 규명하기 위하여, 관련 문헌 기록과 김홍도의 필법·화풍· 화습(畵習)을 7단계에 걸쳐 분석하고, 시기별 특징과 양식적 변화를 중심으로 그 회화 적 전개 과정을 검토하였다. 성대중과 홍원섭의 간찰에 나타난 아집 장면은 발표작품 과 밀접하게 대응하며, 성근 오동나무 아래 차를 달이는 구도, 남종화풍 성서필획, 김 홍도 고유의 도상 습관이 뚜렷이 드러났다. 무엇보다 〈징각아집도〉낙관과 동일한 인장이 수록된 《元章愛餘》의 발견은 단순한 낙인의 경위를 넘어 해석적 감식안이 개 입된 조선 후기 문인화가 지향한 예술정신과 그 문화적 연대를 읽을 수 있는 귀중한 단 서가 되었다.〈징각아집도〉는 특정 연대, 특정 장소, 특정 인물들의 실제 아집 장면, 문인화풍의 진면목이 어떠하냐를 보여주는 화격과 자료적 가치를 지닌다.
