This study examines the vocal performances of non-Korean members in K-pop groups as a ‘Third Space’ where cultural identity and hybridity are negotiated, analyzing the dynamics of its production and reception. The ‘politics of listening’ was utilized as a key analytical concept. BLACKPINK's Lisa and (G)I-DLE's Minnie and Yuqi were selected as case studies. To examine the reception patterns of the global fandom, netnography and thematic analysis were conducted on Reddit communities. The analysis revealed that non-Korean idols engage in complex negotiations between cultural authenticity and commercial strategies through their vocal performances, with their unique vocal timbres functioning as core aesthetic assets of the group. Furthermore, the global fandom actively constructed the meaning of these transnational voices by practicing the politics of listening. Fans actively engaged in valorizing timbre, debating authenticity regarding pronunciation and accent, and critically discussing cultural appropriation. This study identifies K-pop fandom as a site of public pedagogy that fosters critical literacy and intercultural competence, offering significant implications for multicultural education research.

본 연구는 K-팝 그룹 내 비한국인 멤버의 보컬 퍼포먼스를 문화 정체성과 혼종성이 협상되는 ‘제3의 공간’으로 보고, 그 생산과 수용의 역동성을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 ‘청 취의 정치학(politics of listening)’을 핵심 분석 개념으로 활용하였다. 사례 분석 대상 으로 블랙핑크의 Lisa, (여자)아이들의 Minnie와 Yuqi를 선정하였으며, 글로벌 팬덤의 수용 방식을 살펴보기 위해 Reddit 커뮤니티를 대상으로 Netnography와 주제 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 비한국인 아이돌은 보컬 퍼포먼스를 통해 문화적 진정성과 상 업적 전략 사이에서 복합적인 협상을 수행하며, 그들의 독특한 음색은 그룹의 핵심 미 학 자산으로 기능했다. 또한, 글로벌 팬덤은 청취의 정치학을 실천하며 초국적 목소리 의 의미를 능동적으로 구성하였다. 팬들은 음색의 가치화, 발음 및 억양 관련 진정성 논쟁, 문화적 전유에 대한 비판적 토론을 활발히 전개하였다. 본 연구는 K-팝 팬덤을 비판적 리터러시와 상호문화 역량을 함양하는 공공 교육학의 실천 현장으로 규명하며 다문화 교육 연구에 중요한 시사점을 제공한다.
