This study analyzed the life experiences of a research participant who was an el judo athlete using oral history methods. It explored the transition process from at to coach, the structural characteristics of domestic and international coaching environments, and changes and persistent issues within the school physical educa field. The results revealed: First, the participant's athletic experience emerged as a factor in forming their technical expertise and professional identity as a coach. Sec in overseas coaching environments, employment instability, visa issues, and cultur differences were identified as major limiting factors. Third, while school physical education saw positive changes like strengthened student rights, structural proble persisted, including unstable coach employment, conflicts between the right to le and the right to train, and disparities in treatment between regions. This study recommends establishing a cooperative system among education offices, schools, sports councils to ensure stable coach employment for the sustainability of schoo physical education.

본 연구는 엘리트 유도선수였던 연구참여자의 생애 경험을 구술사 방 법으로 분석하여 선수에서 지도자로의 전환 과정과 국내·국외 지도 환 경의 구조적 특성, 그리고 학교체육 현장의 변화와 지속된 문제를 탐색 하였다. 네 차례의 심층 인터뷰를 생애사적 관점에서 해석한 결과, 첫째, 연구참여자의 선수 경험은 지도자로서의 기술적 전문성과 직업 정체성 을 형성하는 핵심 요인으로 나타났다. 둘째, 해외 지도 환경에서는 고용 불안정, 비자 문제, 문화적 차이 등이 주요 제한 요인으로 확인되었으며, 국내 지도 환경에서는 학교장의 리더십과 행정 구조가 지도자의 업무와 성과에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 학교체육은 학생 인권 강화 등 긍정적 변화가 있었으나, 지도자 고용 불안정과 학습권–훈련권 간 충돌, 지역 간 처우 격차 등 구조적 문제는 여전히 남아있었다. 본 연구는 학 교체육의 지속 가능성을 위해 지도자 고용 안정, 인권과 훈련권의 조화, 조직 내 소통 강화, 교육청·학교·체육회의 협력체계 구축이 필요함을 제언한다.
