This paper focuses on the analysis of the co–occurrence of inanimate nouns and tachi in J–POP song lyrics. The lyrics of J–POP songs released in the first half of 2025 were gleaned and analyzed, with particular attention to the co–occurrence of tachi and inanimate nouns. The following features were observed as a result of the analysis. Firstly, comparing the results of this paper's analysis with the results of BCCWJ–based previous studies on the co–occurrence of inanimate nouns and tachi, revealed that the co–occurrence of inanimate nouns and tachi occurs much more frequently in J–POP song lyrics. Secondly, it was noted that the type frequency of inanimate nouns that co–occurred with tachi in J–POP song lyrics was diverse. However, in comparison to the total number of different inanimate nouns, the inanimate nouns that frequently co–occurred with tachi were limited to a few nouns, such as “思い出/想い出” (memory). Finally, contrary to previous research, the co–occurrence of tachi and abstract nouns, such as “悲しみ” (sadness) and “好奇心” (curiosity), was also observed to some extent.

이 논문에서는 2025년 상반기에 발표된 일본어 노래 1,215곡의 가사를 연구 대상으로 삼고 이 노래 가사들 속에서 ‘たち’가 명사와 공기하는 양상을 살펴보았다. 특히 무생물 명사와 ‘たち’가 공기하는 양상을 중점적으로 다루었다. 현대 일본어의 대표적인 복수 표지 ‘たち’는 선행 연구나 문법서의 대부분에서 무생물 명사와 공기할 수 없다고 기술되어 왔다. 그러나 현대 일본어에서의 ‘たち’의 쓰임을 살펴보면 문어 및 구어에서 공히 ‘思い出たち’와 같이 무생물 명사와 ‘たち’가 공기한 용례를 발견할 수 있다. 이러한 용례를 다루는 연구는 많지 않으며 주된 조사 대상은 『현대 일본어 문어 균형 코퍼스(現代日本語書き言葉均衡コーパス)』(이하 BCCWJ)나 방송 자료였다. 그러나 이 연구들이 조사 대상으로 삼은 자료의 연대는 현재(2025년)와 다소 시간적으로 떨어져 있다는 한계가 있다. 또 문어성과 구어성을 겸비하는 노래 가사 속에 서 ‘たち’의 쓰임에 대한 연구는 이루어진 바가 없다. 이러한 점에 착안하여 본고에서는 2025년 상반기에 발표된 일본어 노래 1,215곡의 가사를 수집하고 이 가사들 속에서 무생물 명사와 ‘たち’의 공기를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 노래 가사 속 ‘たち’의 전체 용례 가운데 무생물 명사와 ‘たち’가 공기한 용례는 약 14.36%로, BCCWJ를 대상으로 한 조사에 비해 무생물 명사와 ‘たち’의 공기 비율이 월등히 높게 나타났다. 또한 ‘たち’와 공기하는 무생물 명사의 개별어수가 인간 명사에 버금갈 정도로 다양함도 확인되었다. 마지막으로 무생물 명사 중에서도 ‘思い出’, ‘言葉’ 와 같은 추상 명사와 ‘たち’의 공기가 적지 않음을 알 수 있었다.
