This study analyzed the impact of socioeconomic characteristics on unmet dental care needs among adults aged 60 years and older. For this purpose, raw data from the 8th and 9th Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(2019-2023) were pooled, and a total of 8,980 participants were included in the analysis. Complex sample cross-tabulation analyses were conducted to examine differences in the distribution of independent variables related to unmet dental care needs and complex sample logistic regression analysis was employed to identify factors influencing unmet dental care needs(p<0.05). These findings indicate that unmet dental care needs among older adults is strongly influenced by socioeconomic factors with particularly greater effects observed among socially vulnerable groups. Therefore, expansion of social security systems and implementation of practical support policies tailored to these populations are warranted.

본 연구는 60세 이상 고령층의 미충족 치과의료 필요에 미치는 영향을 사회𐩐경제적 특성을 중심으로 분 석한 연구이다. 이를 위해 제8-9차(2019-2023년) 국민건강영양조사 원시 자료를 기수 간 통합하여 연구하였고, 총 8,980명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 통계 방법은 복합표본 교차분석(카이제곱 검정)을 사용하여 미충족 치과의료 필요 와 관련된 독립변수의 분포에 차이가 있는지 확인하였고, 복합표본 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하여 미충족 치과의 료 필요에 영향을 미치는 요인을 확인하였다(p<0.05). 연구결과 연령, 성별, 가구소득, 교육수준, 동거 여부, 기초 생활수급 여부, 건강보험 종류, 건강행태 및 직업 관련 요인 등이 미충족 치과의료 필요 경험에 유의한 영향을 미 치는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 통해 고령층의 미충족 치과의료 필요에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 사회𐩐경제 적 요인의 영향을 받으며, 특히 사회 취약계층에서의 영향력이 더욱 높음을 확인할 수 있어, 이를 고려한 사회보 장체계와 실질적인 지원정책의 확대가 고려되어야 할 것이다.
