This study was to investigate the association between health screening and unmet dental care needs. Data for this study from the 8-9th (2019-2023) Korea national health and nutrition examination survey were used to analyze a total of 22,525 individuals. Statistical analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS version 21.0. Complex sampling cross tabulation analysis (chi-square test) was used to verify any differences in the distribution of independent variables associated with unmet dental care needs. Complex sampling logistic regression analysis was used to determine the factors association between health screening and unmet dental care needs (p<0.05). Factors affecting unmet dental care needs according to general characteristics included age group, gender group, et al. Factors affecting unmet dental care needs according to social characteristics included medical insurance level, private health insurance level, et al. Factors affecting unmet dental care needs according to health screening characteristics included Medical screening level, Cancer screening level, Dental screening level, et al. The findings of the study suggest that the causes of unmet dental care needs are multifactorial.

본 연구는 우리나라 성인의 의료검진과 치과 진료 미충족률 간의 관련성을 중심으로 조사한 연구이다. 이를 위해 제8-9차(2019-2023년) 국민건강영양조사 원시 자료를 기수 간 통합하여 연구하였고, 총 22,525명을 대상으로 분석하였다. 통계분석은 IBM SPSS 버전 21.0을 사용하였다. 통계 방법은 복합표본 교차분석을 사용하여 치과 진료 미충족률과 관련된 독립변수의 분포에 차이가 있는지 확인하였고, 복합표본 로지스틱 회귀분석을 사용하여 의료검진 과 치과 진료 미충족률 간의 관련성을 확인하였다(p<0.05). 일반적 특성 변수로는 연령대, 성별, 가구소득 등을 사용 하였고, 사회적 특성 요인으로는 건강보험종류, 민간의료보험 가입 여부, 인플루엔자 예방접종 여부 등을 사용하였다. 의료검진 변수로는 건강검진, 암검진, 구강검진 등을 사용하였고, 구강행태 변수로는 저작 불편 호소 여부, 치통 경험 유무, 씹기 문제, 말하기 문제 등을 독립변수로 사용하였다. 종속변수는 치과 진료 미치료 여부 변수를 사용하였다.
