Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the developmental framework and applicability of AI Digital Textbooks (AIDT) designed to enhance teaching and learning in elementary physical education. Methods This study conducted a comprehensive literature review to examine the development direction and application potential of AI Digital Textbooks (AIDT) in elementary physical education. Relevant domestic and international studies were collected from major academic databases, including KCI, RISS, KISS, and e-article, using keywords such as“AI Digital Textbook,”“subject-specific AIDT,” “elementary physical education EdTech,” and “2022 revised curriculum.” The collected literature was analyzed to derive key insights and implications for the effective introduction and future utilization of AIDT in physical education classes. Results & Conclusions The study highlights that AIDT for elementary physical education should integrate insights from other subjects and align with the 2022 revised curriculum. It should evolve into an advanced platform that analyzes learner characteristics, offers personalized instruction, and supports data-driven feedback. Conclusively, the development and implementation of AIDT for elementary physical education can innovate teaching and learning structures, enhance educational quality, and contribute to achieving future goals such as student agency, personalized learning, and digital transformation.

본 연구는 초등학교 체육 수업을 위한 AI 디지털교과서(AIDT)의 개발 방향과 적용 가능성을 탐색하는 것이다. 이에 포괄적 문헌조사를 주요 학술 데이터베이스인 KCI, RISS, KISS, e-article을 활용하여 AI 디지털 교과서, 교과별 AIDT, 초등 체육 에듀테크(EdTech), 2022 개정 교육과정 등의 키워드로 국내외 관련 연 구를 수집하였다. 수집된 문헌을 분석하여 초등 체육 수업에서 AIDT의 효과적인 도입 및 향후 활용을 위한 핵심 시사점을 도출하였다. 연구 결과, 초등 체육 수업을 위한 AIDT는 타 교과에서의 적용 경험과 시사점을 반영하고, 2022 개정 교육과정의 가치와 방향성과 부합해야 할 것이다. 또한 학습자의 특성을 분석하고 개인화된 학습을 제공 하며, 데이터 기반 피드백을 지원하는 고도화된 교육 플랫폼으로 발전해야 한다. 궁극적으로 초등 체육 수업을 위한 AIDT의 개발 및 적용은 교수‧학습 구조를 혁신하고 교육의 질을 향상시키며, 학생 주도성, 개인화 학습, 디지털 전환 등의 미래 교육 목표를 실현하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
