The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing the intention to continue use Generative AI and to empirically examine their relationships. For this purpose, ChatGPT, one of the representative services of Generative AI, was selected as the research subject. Through a theoretical review, the characteristics of ChatGPT and user attributes based on Self-Determination Theory were derived, and their effects on flow and satisfaction, as well as on intention to continue use, were investigated. To test the hypotheses, a survey was conducted and the data were analyzed using structural equation modeling(SEM). The results indicate that knowledge rareness, intelligence and autonomy, competence, and relatedness all have positive effects on flow and satisfaction. Flow toward ChatGPT was found to positively influence both satisfaction and intention to continue use, while satisfaction also had a significant effect on intention to continue use. These findings provide theoretical insights into the factors affecting the continuance intention of Generative AI and offer practical implications for the design and management of such services.

본 연구는 최근 일상과 업무에서 빠르게 확산하고 있는 생성형 AI 기술의 지속적 이용을 결정하는 요인을 규명하고, 이들 요인 간의 구조적 관계를 실증적으로 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 생성형 AI를 대표하는 서비스 중 하나인 ChatGPT를 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 이론적 고찰을 통해 ChatGPT의 특성과 자기결정이론에 근거한 사용자 특성을 도출하고 이러한 요인들이 사용자의 몰입과 만족에 어떠한 영향을 미치며, 나아가 지속적 이용의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 가설을 검정하기 위해 설문을 실시하였으며, 구조방정식 모델링을 사용하여 데이터를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 지식희소성, 지능화, 자율성, 유능성, 관계성은 모두 몰입과 만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, ChatGPT에 대한 몰입은 만족과 지속적 이용의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 만족은 지속적 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 생성형 AI의 지속적 이용에 영향을 미치는 주요 요인을 통합적으로 제시함으로써 학문적 이해를 확장하는 동시에 향후 서비스 설계 및 운영 전략 수립에 유용한 실무적 시사점을 제공한다.
