The purpose of this study was to provide basic date for establishing the identity of Taekwondo by exploring the meaning and value of connectivity and independence centered on the technical system, whether the Taekwondo technical system is one Taekwondo or a variety of differentiated Taekwondo, for the future-oriented development of Taekwondo. In this study, we attempted to examine two aspects of Taekwondo : the 'separate one' method and the 'one Taekwondo' method. First, the 'separate one' method proposes a method proposes a method to establish the identity of Taekwondo for the development and growth of each technical system area. It is to develop each Taekwondo technical system, such as sparring, poomsae, and breaking, centering on the current Taekwondotechnical system, and to seek a blance of growth by activating competition. The second is a method to integrate and unify while pursuingcompetition or sportization in each area of the Taekwondo technical system. For example, it is method to utilize rhythmic gymnastics methods to make it a game. Second, in order to achieve 'One Taekwondo', the unification of the training system must come first, and integrated perspective, and this must be led to examinations. In addition, through the policy measures and program developmentof the four major Taekwondo organizations, promotion and leader education must be strengthened so that various policies for One Taekwondo canbe established, and only then can 'One Teakwondo' be completed.

본 연구는 태권도의 미래지향적 발전을 위해 태권도 기술체계가 하나의 태권도인지 아니면 분화된 다양한 모습의 태권도인지 기술체계 중심으로 연계성과 독립성의 의미와 가치를 탐색하여 태권도 정체성 확립을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이에 이 연구에서는 태권도의 ‘따로 하나’의 방식과 ‘하나의 태권도’의 방식인 두 가지 측면을 살펴보고자 하였다. 먼저, ‘따로 하나’인 방식은 기술체계 영역별 발전과 성장을 위한 태권도의 정체성을 확립하는 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 현재 태권도 기술 체계를 중심으로 각각 태권도 기술체계인 겨루기, 품새, 격파 등을 발전시키고, 경기화를 활성화하여 성장의 균형을 모색하는 것이다. 둘 째 태권도 기술체계의 각 영역별로 경기화 또는 스포츠화를 추구하면서 통합하여 합일(合一)하는 방식이다. 예를 들어 리듬체조 방식을 활용하여 경기화하는 방식이다. 둘째, ‘하나의 태권도’를 위해서는 수련체계의 일원화가 선행되어야 하며, 이것이 경기겨루기까지 이어질 수 있도록 도식화된 노력을 기울 여야 할 것이다. 더불어, 태권도 심사제도를 개선하여 평소에 태권도 기술체계를 총체적 통합적 관점에서 수련할 수 있도록 지도하고, 이 것을 심사로 이어질 수 있도록 해야 한다. 또한, 태권도 4대 기관들의 정책 방안 및 프로그램 개발을 통해 하나의 태권도를 위한 다양한 정책들이 정착될 수 있도록 홍보와 지도자 교육을 강화하여야만 ‘하나의 태권도’를 완성할 수 있을 것이다.
