In any successful piece of content, sentimental elements cannot exist independently of the narrative. However, when sentimental elements are closely interwoven with the intrinsic appeal of the story, the likelihood of success increases. Space Sweepers, the first Korean Netflix Original film to reach the top of the global rankings, exemplifies this relationship. This study posits that the success of K-content derives not only from technological sophistication or visual excellence but also from the organic integration of emotional depth and narrative structure. Focusing on the film’s narrative, this research analyzes the embodiment of Korean sentimental sensibilities-Jeong (affection and warmth), Han (sorrow and transcendence), Shinmyeong (communal joy and vitality), and familism. The analysis reveals: (1) Jeong as mutual trust and warmth, (2) Han as the sublimation of pain into solidarity and hope, (3) Shinmyeong as the energy of communal connectedness, and (4) familism as expressed through the formation of non-blood-related communities. Among these, familism functions as the core emotional axis driving the narrative, represented by the creation of an alternative family community within the desolate future space setting where Jeong, Han, and Shinmyeong converge. These Korean sentiments evolve into universal values of humanity, sacrifice, and solidarity, which resonate with audiences worldwide. Thus, Space Sweepers demonstrates how the organic fusion of uniquely Korean sentiments with the universal theme of family endows K-content with both cultural originality and global appeal.

어떤 콘텐츠의 흥행에서 특정한 정서적 요소가 독립되어 존재할 수는 없다. 그러나 정서적 요소가 서사의 고유한 매력과 긴밀히 연결되어 있을 때 그 콘텐츠는 흥행할 가능성이 높을 것이다. 영화 <승리호>는 넷플릭스 오리지널 K-콘텐츠 중 최초로 글로벌 1위를 달성한 한국 영화다. 본 연구는 K-콘텐츠의 흥행이 단순한 기술력이나 시각적 완성도뿐 아니라 정서적 요소와 서사의 결합에 의해 가능하다고 보고, <승리호> 서사에 내재된 한국적 정서를 분석하였다. 정(情), 한(恨), 신 명, 가족주의의 관점에서 분석한 결과, 첫째 상호 신뢰와 따뜻함의 정, 둘째 고통의 승화와 연대의 한, 셋째 공동체적 신명의 에너지, 넷째 비혈연 공동체를 통해 드 러나는 가족주의적 정서가 구현되어 있음을 확인하였다. 특히 <승리호>의 서사를 이끄는 핵심 정서는 가족주의이며, 이는 황량한 미래 우주라는 배경 속에서 정· 한·신명의 정서가 결합된 대안적 가족공동체의 형성으로 나타난다. 이러한 한국적 정서는 인류애·희생·연대라는 보편적 가치로 확장되어 글로벌 관객의 공감을 끌 어낸다. 따라서 <승리호>는 가족이라는 보편적 주제에 한국적 정서를 유기적으로 결합함으로써 K-콘텐츠의 독창성과 세계적 확장 가능성을 동시에 보여준다.
