This paper examines the narrative lives in three films about the elderly, The Bacchus Lady (2016), Old Man Never Dies (2013), and Too Young to Die (2002). It reflects on the issues that the elderly face and proposes a Christian meaning of aging and pastoral implication. The three films use ‘death’ as a key theme to effectively present the realistic and existential concerns that the elderly face in their lives. The Bacchus Lady portrays the choice of death as an escape from the extreme pain of life. The paper emphasizes the importance of community through a mutual-help network. Old Man Never Dies reflects on the problem of clinging to desires and causing conflict with the younger generation. It proposes being respected elders who communicate through personal character rather than experience. Too Young to Die shows us the example of an elderly person who finds new love amidst emptiness and loneliness. It explores a new calling and a vibrant elderly culture found through deeper spirituality. For the effective ministry in the aging society, the church must develop systematic and specialized senior ministers and programs. This includes creating various programs in the fields of senior theology, counseling, welfare, and education, taking into account new social changes and the circumstances of the elderly. The elderly are our past and our future. While the younger generation is often the focus when discussing the future and vision, an aging society predicts that the elderly will be rediscovered. A shift in the existing pastoral paradigm for the elderly is needed. Individuals, society, and the church must prepare for the realities of later life and a pastoral direction in response to changing life cycles and social environments. The spiritual dimension is more important than just health or economic aspects. This is not about rejecting aging and imitating youth. Better senior culture created through deepened spirituality is the best social contribution of the church to address the most difficult and urgent tasks of modern society. The church should highlight examples of beautiful elderly people around us to present a good model not only to the current older generation but also to the generation that will soon become elderly.

본 논문은 노년의 삶에 대한 세 영화, <죽여주는 여자>(2016), <죽지 않아>(2013), <죽어도 좋아>(2002)를 통해 주인공들의 서사적 삶을 주목하며 노인들이 당면한(당면 할) 다양한 문제들을 성찰하고, 기독교적 노년의 의미와 목회적 방향을 제안해 보고자 한다. 세 영화는 모두 ‘죽음’을 키워드로 노인들이 삶에서 마주한 현실적이며 실존적 인 고민과 노인들을 마주하는 사회적 문제들을 잘 제시하고 있는 수작이다. <죽여주 는 여자>에서 삶의 극심한 고통의 탈출구로 죽음을 선택한 사례를 통해, ‘웰다잉’에 대한 기독교 가치관 정립과 상호 도움 네트워크를 통한 공동체의 중요성을 강조한다. <죽지 않아>에선 노욕을 움켜쥐고 젊은 세대와 충돌을 야기하는 문제점을 고민하며, 노인의 경험이 아닌 인격적 품성을 통해 소통할 수 있는 ‘어른됨’을 제안한다. <죽어 도 좋아>는 허무와 고독 가운데 새로운 사랑을 만나 행복에 겨워하는 노인의 사례를 보여준다, 이를 통해 더 깊은 영성을 통해 만나는 새로운 소명과 생기있는 기독교 노 인문화를 모색한다. 교회는 본격화된 고령화 시대를 맞아 체계적인 시니어 전문 사역 자와 프로그램을 개발해야 한다. 노인 신학, 상담, 복지, 교육의 영역에서 사회 변화와 노인들의 상황을 고려한 다양한 프로그램을 만들어 가는 것이다. 노인은 우리의 과거 이자 우리의 미래이다. 미래와 비전을 말할 때 항상 청년세대를 주목하지만, 고령화 사회는 오히려 노인들이 재발견될 것으로 예상한다. 시니어 상품과 프로그램은 미래 산업의 핵심 타겟이 될 것이다. 기존 노인 목회 패러다임 전환이 요청된다. 변화하는 생애 주기와 사회 환경에 따라 개인과 사회와 교회는 현실적인 노년의 삶과 목회적 방향을 준비해야 한다. 단지 건강이나 경제적 차원만이 아니라 정신적 영역이 더 중 요하다. 이는 노화를 거부하고 청춘을 모방하자는 것이 아니다. ‘노인됨’은 젊을 때 보 지 못했던 하나님 세계에 눈을 돌리며 인생의 진짜 목적과 목표로 이끄는 통찰로 들 어갈 수 있다. 깊어진 영성을 통해 만들어 가는 노인문화 조성은 현대 사회가 가장 풀기 어려운 시급한 과제를 담당하는 최선의 사회공헌이다. 교회는 우리 주변에 아름 다운 노인들의 사례를 부각해, 노년 세대뿐 아니라 곧 노인이 될 세대에게 좋은 모델을 제시해야 할 것이다.
