This study is grounded in an exegesis that centers on the structure of Hebrews 10:1-18. It argues that the author of Hebrews proclaims the permanent efficacy of Christ’s once-for-all atonement to encourage believers under persecution. Methodologically, it examines Greek verbal forms, key lexemes, and Old Testament citations, and proposes a concentric pattern (Introduction-Crisis-Climax-Resolution-Completion; A-B-C-B′-A′) that refines W. L. Lane’s chiastic proposal. The passage is organized as follows: A. the insufficiency of the old covenant; B. Christ who comes as the atoning sacrifice; C. Christ’s single sacrifice that accomplishes redemption; B′. Christ who, having offered the sacrifice for sins, ascends to the Father’s right hand; A′. the perfection of the new covenant. This arrangement structurally highlights the sufficiency and completeness of Christ’s sacrifice, showing that the text’s emphases are reflected through its form. Accordingly, the article contends that when preachers allow this structure to shape sermon preparation, they can communicate the passage’s central main idea with greater clarity and force.
