This study analyzes global academic trends related to ChatGPT by applying keyword network analysis and topic modeling (LDA) to 1,971 research papers published between 2023 and June 2025. The data was sourced from the OpenAlex database and spans diverse fields such as education, healthcare, social sciences, and information systems, demonstrating the multidisciplinary expansion of ChatGPT research. Keyword centrality analysis revealed that terms like “model,” “language,” “performance,” and “education” were dominant, highlighting both the technological foundation and practical applications of ChatGPT. Topic modeling analysis identified seven major themes, including “language model performance and task execution,” “AI-based learning environments,” “prompt design,” and “medical information processing.” Temporal analysis showed a shift from technical focus to applied usage, with growing interest in response accuracy and analytical tools in 2025. The study offers a structural overview of ChatGPT-related research, serving as a strategic reference for future academic and industrial exploration. It emphasizes the potential for interdisciplinary collaboration and the need for ethical discourse surrounding AI use. For industry stakeholders, the findings provide insight into emerging application areas and help inform technology adoption and innovation strategies.

본 연구는 ChatGPT 관련 해외 학술 논문들을 대상으로 키워드 네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링(LDA)을 통해 주요 연구 흐름과 주제를 도출하 였다. 2023년부터 2025년 6월까지 발표된 총 1,971편의 논문을 분석 대상으로 삼았으며, OpenAlex 데이터베이스를 활용하였다. 분석 결과, ChatGPT는 교육, 의료, 사회과학, 정보시스템 등 다양한 분야에서 폭넓게 활용되고 있었다. 키워드 중심성 분석에서는 ‘model’, ‘language’, ‘performance’, ‘education’ 등이 핵심 키워드로 나타났으며, 기술적 기반과 응용 가능성이 동시에 부각되었다. 토픽모델링 결과 총 7개의 주요 토픽이 도출되었고, ‘언어모델의 성능 및 과제수행’, ‘AI 기반 교육환경’, ‘프롬프트 설계’, ‘의료정보 처리’ 등이 포함되었다. 연도별 분석에서는 기술 중심에서 응용 중심으로의 흐름 변화가 확인되었으며, 특히 2025년에는 응답 정확도와 분석도구로 서의 활용에 대한 관심이 증가하였다. 본 연구는 ChatGPT 관련 연구의 구조와 확산 경향을 실증적으로 보여주며, 향후 연구자와 산업계가 전 략적으로 접근할 수 있는 기초 자료를 제공한다. 이러한 분석은 학문적 융합 가능성과 윤리적 논의의 필요성을 제기하며, ChatGPT의 지속 가능한 활용을 위한 방향성을 제시한다. 또한 산 업계에서는 기술 수용과 응용 전략 수립에 있어 본 연구의 결과를 참고할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.
