Due to the neoliberal system of Korea, Korean society is experiencing extreme social polarization, and competition and division have been strengthened as the logic of the market has been strengthened during everyday life and socialization. In particular, young women from all localities want to go to Seoul and are on the move. In this context, this study focused on the TV dramas ‘My Liberation Notes’ and ‘Our Unwritten Seoul’. The two dramas deal with the experience of mobility and migration to Seoul, centering on female protagonists. The female protagonists of the two dramas perceive neither home as a space of affection, stability, and protection nor Seoul as a space of competition, discrimination, and alienation. They reflect deeply on and respect themselves while moving between the two spaces, also seeking to understand and accept others, and newly constructing the meaning of their liberation and dreams. The narratives of these two dramas show that the spatial experience, mobility, and migration of young women can be a process of subjectification. The narratives in both cases present some solutions to the issue of how young women who move and migrate to Seoul can reconstruct themselves, their family, and their work, while also managing love, identity formation, and relationship formation while producing and interpreting their spatial experiences as subjects.

신자유주의 체제로 아래 한국 사회는 극단적 사회적 양극화를 겪고 있고, 일상과 사회화 과정에도 시장의 논리가 강화되어 경쟁과 분열에 몸살을 앓고 있다. 특히 모든 자원이 집중되는 서울과 소외되는 지역의 격차는 점차 벌어지면서, 지역의 청년 들은 서울로 향하고 있다. 이러한 ‘서울 상경’의 경향 가운데 눈에 띄는 것은 여성청년의 상경 증가이다. 이러한 맥락에서 이 연구는 드라마 <나의 해방일지>와 <미지의 서울>을 주목했다. 두 드라마는 공통적으로 여성 주인공들을 내세워 지역의 집을 떠나 서울로 이동·이주하는 경험을 다루고 있다. 두 드라마의 여성 주인공들은 집을 애정과 안정 및 보호의 공간으로, 서울을 경쟁, 차별 및 소외만의 공간으로 경험하지 않는다. 이들은 두 공간을 모순적으로 경험하지만 이동하면서 자신을 깊이 성찰하 고 존중하며, 타자를 이해하고 수용하며, 자신의 해방과 꿈의 의미를 새롭게 구성한다. 이 두 드라마의 서사는 여성청년이 공 간 경험을 경험하고 이동하는 주체로서 존재하는 법을 배우는 과정을 보여준다. 즉 여성청년이 스스로 공간의 주체가 되어 자신의 장소를 만들고, 진정한 자신을 찾고, 타자와의 소중한 관계성을 만드는 여정을 보여주는 것이다. 두 드라마의 서사를 통해 서울로 이동·이주하는 동시대의 여성청년이 어떻게 주체로서 자신의 공간 경험을 생산하고 해석하면서 자기 자신, 가족, 일, 사랑, 정체성 형성, 관계의 형성을 재구성할 수 있을지 그려볼 수 있다.
