This study aimed to develop design criteria for interdisciplinary liberal arts courses in universities, apply them to actual educational settings, and verify their effectiveness, thereby providing practical guidelines for interdisciplinary liberal arts education. To achieve this, design criteria were derived through a literature review and an expert Delphi survey on interdisciplinary education. The resulting criteria consist of 19 items with 24 detailed components. Based on these criteria, existing interdisciplinary courses were redesigned. These results suggest that the proposed design criteria enhance students’ academic experiences and foster interdisciplinary competencies, aligning with the goals of interdisciplinary liberal arts education. Consequently, the design criteria developed in this study can serve as a foundation for implementing effective and meaningful interdisciplinary liberal arts education in universities.

이 연구는 대학 교양 융합교과에 적합한 설계 준거를 개발하고 기존 융합교과에 적용 가능성을 확인해 봄으로써 효과적인 교양 융합교육의 지침을 제시하기 위해 시행되었다. 이를 위해 융합교육 관련 문헌 분석을 토대로 대학 융합교과 설계 준거를 검토하고, 실제 대학교육 현장에서 융합수업 을 설계하고 운영한 경력이 있는 전문가를 대상으로 하여 델파이 조사를 진행하였다. 델파이 조사 결과 분석을 토대로 설계 준거를 수정 및 보완하고 최종적으로 내용타당도를 확보하여 총 19개에 해당하는 교양 융합교과 설계 준거를 도출하였다. 이후 본 연구에서 개발한 교양 융합교과 설계 준 거를 토대로 기존 융합교과에 반영하여 수정해 보았다. 결과적으로 본 연구에서 개발한 융합교과 설계 준거는 교육 현장에 밀접한 적용이 가능하였다. 따라서 본 연구의 교양 융합교과 설계 준거는 교양 융합교육의 본의의 목적대로 학습자의 다양한 학문 경험을 촉진하여 실질적인 융합능력 함양 에 기여할 수 있을 것이다.
