This study aimed to analyze the importance and performance of the play-centered curriculum implementation competency recognized by early childhood teachers. The subject of this study were 203 teachers in charge of childhood classes aged 3-5 at daycare centers in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon. The survey was conducted using the "Play-centered Curriculum Implementation Competency of Early Childhood Teachers" tool by Yoo Soo-jeong(2021). For data were analyzed using t-test and importance-performance analysis(IPA). As a result of the study, it was found that there were significant differences in the importance and performance of the play-oriented curriculum recognized by teachers in all sub-areas. This means that there is a difference between the perception of the importance of the play-oriented curriculum and the actual performance. In addition, the IPA analysis results did not reveal key areas for improvement, and it suggests that there is a need for gradual improvement as the importance and performance levels in the areas of understanding play, understanding the national early childhood education curriculum, supporting play environments, observation records and evaluation, and professional development are all shown to be low.

본 연구는 어린이집 유아반 교사가 인식하는 놀이 중심 교육과정 실행 역량에 대한 중요도와 수 행도를 분석하는 데 목적을 두었다. 연구 대상은 서울, 경기, 인천의 수도권에 소재한 어린이집의 3-5세 유아반 교사 203명으로 유수정(2021)의 ‘유아교사의 놀이 중심 교육과정 실행 역량’ 검사도구 를 활용하여 조사하였다. 자료는 t-검증과 중요도-수행도 분석(IPA)을 실시하였다. 연구결과 교사가 인식하는 놀이 중심 교육과정에 대한 중요도와 수행도는 모든 하위 영역에서 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 놀이 중심 교육과정의 중요성의 인식과 실제 수행 간의 차이가 있음을 의미 한다. 또한, IPA 분석 결과 중점 개선 영역은 나타나지 않았으며, 놀이에 대한 이해, 국가 수준 유아 교육과정에 대한 이해, 놀이 환경 지원, 관찰 기록 및 평가, 전문성 함양 영역에서 중요도와 수행도 가 모두 낮게 나타나 점진적인 개선이 필요함을 시사한다.
