This study aimed to explore the relationships among acculturation, and ego-resilience as factors influencing life satisfaction among North Korean refugees. The study subjects were 88 North Korean defectors who participated in events or counseling programs for North Korean refugees. Pearson correlation analysis, regression analysis, and mediation analysis were conducted to examine the relationships among variables. Correlation analysis revealed significant positive correlations between life satisfaction, acculturation, and ego-resilience. Significant positive correlations were found among life satisfaction, acculturation, and ego-resilience. Standard regression analysis was conducted to predict life satisfaction, and results indicated that acculturation and ego-resilience significantly explained life satisfaction. An indirect effect was found, indicating that ego-resilience mediates the relationship between acculturation and life satisfaction. This suggests the need to explore specific methods to increase life satisfaction among North Korean refugees in South Korea.

본 연구는 북한이탈주민의 삶의 만족감에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 문화적응과 자아탄력성의 관계를 탐색해 보고자 하였다. 연구대상자는 북한이탈주민 행사에 참여하거나 상담프로그램에 참여한 88명의 북한이탈주민이었다. 변인들간의 관계성을 알아보기 위해 Pearson 상관분석과 회귀분석, 매개분석을 진행하였다. 상관분석의 결과 삶의 만족도, 문화적응, 그리고 자아탄력성간에 유의미한 정적상관이 있었다. 삶의 만족도를 예측하기 위해 표준회귀분석을 한 결과 문화적응과 자아탄력성이 삶의 만족도를 유의미하게 설명하였다. 또한 문화적응이 자아탄력성을 매개로 하여 삶의 만족도에 미치는 효과를 검증한 결과 간접효과가 나타났다. 이는 북한이탈주민의 남한에서의 삶의 만족감을 증진하기 위한 구체적인 방법 을 모색할 필요가 있다고 본다.
