The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of social withdrawal in the relationship between parenting attitudes and friend support for multicultural families. To this end, data from the 5th year of the「Multicultural adolescents Panel Survey 2nd (MAPS 2nd)」surveyed by the Korea Youth Policy Institute were used. The subjects of the study were a total of 1,842 students in the second year of middle school, 51.5% of male students and 48.5% of female students. This study analyzed data using the SPSS 25.0 program and SPSS Process Macro. As a result, first, social withdrawal showed a mediating effect in the relationship between parental supervision and children's friend support. Second, social withdrawal showed a mediating effect in the relationship between parental neglect and children's friend support. Both the direct effects of parental supervision and parental neglect on children's friend support and the indirect effects through social withdrawal were found to be significant. Based on the findings of this study, the necessity of social skills enhancement programs and participation in youth activities was suggested to help multicultural adolescents acquire social skills in peer relationships. Additionally, the need for developing capacity-building education for multicultural parents was emphasized to help them understand their children's emotional states and effectively support withdrawn behaviors.

본 연구의 목적은 다문화가정 부모의 양육태도와 친구지지의 관계에서 사회적 위축의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원에 서 조사한「다문화청소년 패널조사 2기 데이터(MAPS 2기)」5차년도 데이터를 활용하였다. 연구대상은 중학교 2학년으로 총 1,842명이었으며, 남학생 51.5%, 여학생 48.5%이었다. 본 연구는 SPSS 25.0 프로그램과 SPSS Process Macro를 사 용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 그 결과는 첫째, 사회적 위축은 부모감독과 자녀의 친구지지의 관계에서 매개효과를 나타냈다. 둘째, 사회적 위축은 부모방임과 자 녀의 친구지지의 관계에서 매개효과를 나타냈다. 부모감독과 부모방임의 양육태 도가 자녀의 친구지지에 미치는 직접효과와 사회적 위축을 통한 간접효과 모두 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 다문화청소년들이 또래 관계 에서 사회적 기술을 습득할 수 있도록 사회성 향상 프로그램 및 청소년활동 참 여의 필요성을 제안하였다. 또한, 다문화가정 부모를 대상으로 자녀의 정서적 상태를 이해하고 위축된 행동을 효과적으로 지지할 수 있는 역량 강화 교육 개 발의 필요성을 강조하였다.
