This study examined the preferred types of online texts among intermediate and advanced Korean-language learners and native speakers in digital environments, and analyzed each group’s use of online reading strategies for their preferred text types. An analysis of text preferences revealed that Korean-language learners tended to favor asynchronous formats, such as social texts and online video texts, whereas native speakers strongly preferred synchronous formats, such as online chat. The frequency of use of each strategy for social texts and online video texts was examined across groups based on these findings. Significant differences appeared not in strategies typically associated with print-based reading, but in those falling within the domain of digital literacy, namely, search and navigation, monitoring, communication and collaboration, sharing and reproduction, digital safety, and digital ethics and attitudes. These findings suggest that the use of online reading strategies varies according to learners’ proficiency levels, text types, and strategy domains, with digital literacy functioning as a key differentiating factor. Accordingly, this study proposes the development of online reading strategy instruction tailored to proficiency levels, along with comprehensive digital literacy education, in the field of Korean-language education.

본 연구는 디지털 환경에서 한국어 중･고급 학습자와 모어 화자가 선호하는 텍스트를 살펴보고 선호하는 텍스트를 대상으로 집단별 온라인 읽 기 전략 사용 양상을 분석하였다. 먼저 선호하는 한국어 온라인 텍스트 를 분석한 결과 한국어 학습자는 비동기적 특성의 소셜 텍스트와 온라인 동영상 텍스트를, 모어 화자는 동기적 특성의 채팅 텍스트를 선호하는 경향이 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 이어 소셜 텍스트와 온라인 동영상 텍스트를 대상으로 집단별 전략 사용 빈도를 분석하였다. 그 결과 주로 인쇄 기반 읽기 과정에서의 전략보다는 디지털 리터러시 영역(검색과 탐색, 점검, 소통과 협업, 공유와 재생산, 디지털 안정성, 디지털 윤리와 태도)에 속하 는 전략들에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 온라인 읽기에 서 전략 사용이 숙달도･텍스트 유형･전략 영역에 따라 다르게 나타나며, 특히 디지털 리터러시 요소가 중요한 변별 요인이 됨을 시사한다. 따라 서 한국어 교육 현장에서 학습자 숙달도에 기반한 온라인 읽기 전략 교육 설계와, 디지털 리터러시 기반 읽기 교육이 필요함을 제안하였다.
