This paper examines the significance of aesthetic experiences in educational Theatre through philosophical and theoretical discussions and practical case studies. Through aesthetic experiences, educational Theatre facilitates holistic learning by integrating cognitive understanding, emotional maturity, and sensory sensitivity in learners and children. By combining metaphors and artistic sensibilities, it allows learners to internalize abstract values and concepts into concrete experiences. In this respect, educational Theatre can be considered a practical tool for realizing the essential goals of education. Aesthetic experiences in educational Theatre simultaneously provide learners with self-awareness, understanding of others, and reflection on the world through the human body, senses, emotions, and thought.

본고는 교육연극에서의 미적 체험이 갖는 의미를 철학적·이론적 측면서 고찰하였다. 교육연극은 미적 체험을 통해 학습자와 아동의 인지적 이해와 정서적 성숙, 감각적 민감성을 통합적으로 자극하는 전인 적 학습을 가능하게 하며, 은유와 예술적 감수성을 결합하여 학습자가 추상적 가치와 개념을 구체적 경 험으로 내면화하게 한다. 그런 점에서 교육연극은 교육이 지향해야 할 본질적 목표를 실현하는 실천적 장치라 할 수 있다. 미적 체험은 감각적 쾌락이나 오락적 경험을 포함하여 인간의 인식과 정서, 감각을 통합적으로 자극하 는 총체적 과정으로 이해되어야 한다. 이를 위해 미적 판단론, 경험론, 신체 현상을 고찰하여 미적 체험 의 철학적 기반을 살펴보았고, 이어 은유의 작용을 통해 감각과 개념, 언어와 정서를 매개하는 미적 의미 생성의 과정을 분석하였다. 교육연극에서의 미적 체험은 인간의 몸과 감각, 정서와 사고를 매개로 하여 학습자에게 자기 인식과 타자 이해, 세계에 대한 성찰을 동시에 제공한다.
