Drug addiction is a disease that devastates not only oneself, but also the family and society. Many drug addicts do not receive treatment, or even if they do receive treatment, they often relapse, so they often cannot escape the swamp of addiction. The purpose of this study is to examine the outline and applicability of evidence-based treatment and animal assisted therapy for treatment and rehabilitation of drug addiction patients. In Korea, there is no meta-analysis research data on evidence-based treatments and animal assisted therapy for drug addicts, so individual research cases were analyzed. There are cases where cognitive behavioral therapy, contingency management, community reinforcement approach, individual drug counseling, and motivational enhancement therapy are effective as psychotherapy methods suitable for substance use disorder patients. In Korea, there are very few research cases using evidence-based treatments. Qualitative research cases through individual counseling and treatment programs focusing on emotional changes such as recovery belief, mindfulness meditation, self-transcendence enhancement, concentration meditation, and mindfulnessbased cognitive therapy were implemented. In Korea, animal assisted therapy has recently been shown to be effective for various clients, including those with cognitive disorders, intellectual disabilities, and schizophrenia. In overseas cases of animal assisted therapy that do not exist in Korea, the focus was on emotional changes, such as drug self-efficacy, self-esteem, and quality of life, in patients with substance use disorders, and its effectiveness was verified through pre- and post-tests. The goal of evidence-based treatment and animal assisted therapy is drug abstinence for drug addicts. As a research measurement tool that can achieve this goal, the need for tools that can directly measure behavioral changes, such as the period of abstinence, days, and number of periodic urine tests, and the development of treatment and rehabilitation programs that combine evidence-based treatment approaches and animal assisted therapy were suggested.

마약류 중독은 자신뿐만 아니라 가족과 사회를 피폐하게 만드는 질병이다. 대다수의 마약류 중독 환자가 치료를 받지 못하거나 치료를 받더라도 재발하는 경우들이 많기 때문에 중독의 늪 에서 빠져나오지 못하는 경우가 많다. 이 연구의 목적은 마약류 중독 환자의 치료 및 재활을 위 한 근거기반치료와 동물교감치유에 대한 개관과 접목가능성을 고찰하는 데 있다. 한국에서는 마 약류 중독 환자에 대한 근거기반치료법과 동물교감치유의 메타분석 연구 자료가 없기 때문에 개 별 연구사례들을 분석하였다. 물질사용장애 환자들에게 적합한 심리치료방법으로 인지행동치 료, 유관관리, 공동체강화접근법, 개별약물상담, 동기강화상담이 효과적이라는 사례들이 보고 되고 있다. 국내의 경우 근거기반치료법을 이용한 연구사례는 매우 미미하다. 개별상담을 통한 질적 연구 사례와 회복믿음, 마음수련명상, 자기초월증진, 집중명상, 마음챙김기반 인지치료 등 의 치료방법으로 정서변화에 중점을 둔 치료 프로그램이 시행되었다. 국내에서는 최근 동물교감 치유는 인지장애, 지적장애, 조현병 환자 등 다양한 내담자에게 효과가 있다고 나타났다. 국내 에는 없는 해외 동물교감치유 사례에서 물질사용장애 환자들에게도 단약 자기효능감, 자아존중 감, 삶의 질 등 정서적인 변화에 초점을 두고, 사전·사후검사를 통해 그 효과성을 검증하였다. 근거기반치료법과 동물교감치유의 목표는 마약류 중독 환자들의 단약이다. 이러한 목표를 달성 할 수 있는 연구 측정도구로서 단약 한 기간, 날, 주기적인 소변검사 횟수 등과 같이 직접적인 행동변화를 측정할 수 있는 도구 사용과 근거기반치료 접근법과 동물교감치유를 접목한 치료 및 재활 프로그램 개발의 필요성에 대해 제언하였다.
