The purpose of this study is to elucidate the aesthetic structure of Jeophwa-gunsaeng (接化群生) as embodied in Korean traditional dance, with a particular focus on Salpuri dance. Jeophwa-gunsaeng, a core concept of Pungnyudo (風流道) mentioned in Choi Chi-won’s Nangnangbiseo, is an indigenous Korean philosophy that inherently contains aspects of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism while pursuing communal harmony through inter-sensory resonance and transformative interaction. This research first analyzes the philosophical meaning of Jeophwa-gunsaeng within the intellectual context of Pungnyudo through a literature review. It then examines two representative lineages of Salpuri—Han Sung-jun’s Seoul–Gyeonggi Salpuri and Kim Suk-ja’s Gyeonggi Sinawi Do-Salpuri— to investigate how the structure expands from “internal Jeophwa” to “communal Jeophwa” in aesthetic practice. The findings reveal that Salpuri mediates the transmission of Shinmyeong (divine ecstasy) through the process of cultivation, relational space, and play, thereby functioning as a site of both individual healing and communal inspiration. Furthermore, the study explores the contemporary applicability of Jeophwa-gunsaeng. Somatics, with its emphasis on bodily awareness and emotional regulation, resonates with the cultivational dimension of Salpuri dance, while Artificial Intelligence (AI), through affective interactions between humans and machines, opens the possibility for new forms of communal Jeophwa in digital space. In this respect, Jeophwa-gunsaeng can be reinterpreted as an expanded aesthetic principle that transcends traditional human–nature–community relations to encompass resonance with machines. In conclusion, Salpuri embodies not only indigenous Korean thought but also the practical artistic value of realizing the philosophy of Jeophwa-gunsaeng in contemporary contexts. By deepening the structural analysis of Korean dance aesthetics through Jeophwa-gunsaeng, this study seeks to provide a theoretical and practical foundation for future research in Korean dance aesthetics.

본 논문의 목적은 한국 전통춤, 특히 살풀이춤에 구현된 접화군생(接化群生)의 미학적 구조를 규명하는 데 있다. 접화군생은 최치원의 「난랑비서」에 등장하는 풍류도의 핵심 개념으로, 유·불·도를 아우르며 존재 간 감응과 변화를 통해 공동체적 융화를 지향하는 한국 고유의 사상이다. 연구는 먼저 문헌 고찰을 통해 풍류도의 사상적 맥락과 접화군생의 철학적 의미를 분석하였다. 이어 한성준의 서울·경기 살풀이춤과 김숙자의 경기시나위 도살풀이춤을 사례로, ‘내재적 접화’에서 ‘공동체적 접화’로 확장되는 구조가 어떻게 미학적으로 구현되는지를 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 살풀이춤은 수양–관계적 공간–놀이의 과정을 통해 신명의 전이를 매개하며, 개인적 치유와 공동체적 감화를 동시에 실현하는 장(場)으로 기능함을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 동시대 예술 환경에서 접화군생 사상의 확장 가능성을 탐구하였다. 소매틱(somatics)은 신체 감각의 자각과 정서적 조율의 차원에서 살풀이춤의 수양성과 접목될 수 있으며, 인공지능(AI)은 인간–기계 간 감응적 상호작용을 통해 디지털 관계망 속에서 새로운 공동체적 접화를 가능하게 한다. 이를 통해 접화군생은 전통적인 인간–자연–공동체 관계를 넘어, 기계와의 감응까지 포괄하는 확장된 미학적 원리로 재해석될 수 있음을 시사한다. 결론적으로, 살풀이춤은 한국의 토착적 사상을 내포함과 동시에 접화군생 사상을 동시대에 구현하는 실천적 예술로서의 가치를 지닌다. 본 연구는 접화군생을 통한 한국춤 미학의 구조적 분석을 심화함으로써 향후 한국무용미학 연구의 이론적·실천적 기반을 제공하고자 한다.
