The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of perceived motivational climate on competitive rumination and moral disengagement among middle and high school golf athletes. The achieve this objective, data were collected from 285 middle and high school golf athletes located in the metropolitan and Jeolla regions of South Korea. The data were analyzed using SPSS and AMOS 23.0. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted. First, an ego-involving climate had a positive(+) effect on competitive counterfactual thinking, while a task-involving climate did not show a statistically significant effect. Second, an ego-involving climate had a positive(+) effect on moral disengagement, whereas a task-involving climate had a negative(−) effect. Third, competitive counterfactual thinking had a positive (+) effect on moral disengagement. In competitive sports environments, athletes often experience failures. When these situations are reinforced by an ego-oriented climate and outcome-focused coaching, such conditions may foster negative thought patterns in athletes, ultimately leading to morally disengaged behavior. These implications should not be overlooked in youth athletic development.

이 연구는 중⋅고등학교 골프선수들이 지각한 동기분위기가 경쟁반추와 도덕적 이탈에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 데 목적이 있었다. 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위해 수도권과 전라도 지역의 중⋅고등학교 골프선수 285명을 대상으로 자료 를 수집한 후 분석을 진행했다. 분석은 SPSS와 AMOS 23.0 통계프로그램을 이용하였다. 기술통계, 상관관계 분석, 확인 적 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 중⋅고등학교 골프선수들이 지각한 동기분위기 하위요인 중 경쟁분위기는 경쟁반추에 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 반면, 숙련분위기는 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 둘째, 경쟁분위기는 도덕적 이탈에 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤고, 숙련분위기는 부(-)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 셋째, 경쟁반추는 도덕적 이탈에 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 경쟁적인 스포츠 환경에서 선수들은 실수를 반복한다. 이때 결과를 지향하는 분위기와 지도 방식은 선수들의 부정적인 사고를 촉진한다. 나아가 부도덕한 행동으로 이어질 수 있다는 점을 간과해서는 안 된다.
