This study conducts a qualitative meta-analysis to explore the structural characteristics of competency-based co-curricular programs in higher education. Ten prior studies were analyzed, focusing on program design, implementation, and learning outcomes. Four key features emerged: extensibility of major education, customized design, collaborative networking, and performance orientation. These elements interact within a cyclical structure linking planning, execution, outcomes, and feedback. The findings show that such programs not only supplement formal curricula but also enhance disciplinary depth, practical skills, and career readiness. The proposed model is adaptable across various academic fields. Future studies should validate the model and develop standardized evaluation tools for sustainable implementation.

본 연구는 전공능력 기반 비교과 교육과정의 구조적 특성과 핵심 요소를 도출하기 위해 질적 메타분석을 실시하였다. 총 10편의 선행연구를 분석 대상으로 선정하고, 교과–비교과 연계 방식, 활동 성격, 운영 주체, 성과 등을 중심으로 코딩하였다. 분석 결과, 해당 교육과정은 전공교육의 확장성, 맞춤형 설계, 협력적 네트워킹, 성과 지향성이라는 네 가지 핵심 특성을 공통으로 포함하고 있었으며, 이들은 설계–운영–성과–환류의 구조 속에서 유기적으로 작용하였다. 비교과 프로그램은 전공역량 강화와 실무 문제 해결 능력 함양에 기여하며, 학습자의 진 로 준비 및 전공 정체성 형성에도 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 구조적 모델이 다양한 전공 분야에 적용 가 능함을 제시하였고, 향후에는 전공별 맞춤형 프로그램 개발, 효과성 평가 도구의 표준화, 제도적 기반 마련을 위한 후속 연구가 요구된다.
