This study aims to examine the mediating effects of relational support and emotional problems on the relationship between multicultural children’s perceived respect for human rights and their experience of social isolation. To analyze the data, SPSS 23.0 and AMOS25.0 were utilized. Pearson’s correlation analysis and structural equation modeling (SEM) were employed to examine the relationships among variables, and the mediating effects were verified through the bootstrap method within a 95% confidence interval. The study sample consisted of 1,842 participants from the 2023 Multicultural Youth Longitudinal Study conducted by the Korea Youth Policy Institute. The main findings are as follows. First, social isolation showed a negative correlation with respect for human rights and relational support, whereas it was positively correlated with emotional problems. Second, respect for human rights did not have a direct effect on social isolation, but all other pathways showed statistically significant effects. Third, it can be interpreted that relational support and emotional problems fully mediate the effect of respect for human rights on social isolation. This study suggests ways to enhance relational support grounded in respect for human rights in order to address emotional difficulties.

본 연구는 다문화 아동이 지각한 인권존중이 사회적 고립에 미치는 영향에서 관계 지지와 정서문제의 매개효과 를 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 SPSS 23.0과 AMOS 25.0을 활용하였다. 피어슨의 상관분석과 구조모형으로 분석하였고, 95% 신뢰구간에서 붓트스트랩 방법으로 매개효과를 검증하였다. 본 연구대상은 한국청소년정책연구원의 2023 다문화청소년 종단연구에서 사용한 총 1,842명이다. 주요 연구결과는 첫째, 사회적 고립은 인권존중과 관계 지지 간의 부적 상관관계가 나타난 반면, 정서적 문제와는 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 둘째, 인권존중이 사회적 고립에 직접적 인 영향을 주진 않지만, 다른 경로에서는 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 인권존중이 사회적 고립에 영향을 주는 과정에서 관계 지지와 정서문제가 완전 매개하는 것으로 해석 할 수 있다. 이러한 연구결과 를 통해 인권존중을 기반으로 관계 지지를 강화하여 정서적인 어려움을 해결할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.
