This study conducted text mining and semantic network analysis using news data to identify issues related to foreign workers in industrial complexes. The results indicate that keywords such as jobs, small and medium-sized enterprises, manufacturing, labor shortage, dormitory, multiculturalism, safety, and management appeared frequently. Centrality analysis results indicated that keywords such as small and medium-sized enterprises, jobs, workplaces, manufacturing ranked relatively high. Cluster analysis identified two distinct issue groups. The general issues included a broad range of keywords such as the hiring of foreign labor, related institutions and companies, and regional-level keywords. The specialized issues cluster included regions such as Hwaseong, Incheon, and Busan, which were more closely associated with labor shortages and manufacturing. The findings offer important insights for research and policy, emphasizing key issues concerning foreign workers in industrial complexes and the need for targeted regional approaches.

본 연구는 언론자료를 활용하여 산업단지 외국인 근로자 관련 이슈를 파악하고자 하였다. 연구방법으로는 텍스트마이닝과 의미연결망 분석을 실시하고, 주요 키워드 분석 및 관계성을 확인하였다. 분석결과, 일자리, 중소기업, 제조업, 인력난, 기숙사, 다문화, 안전, 관리 등의 키워드가 주요하게 나타났다. 또한 중심성 분석결과, 중소기업, 일자리, 사업장, 제조업 등의 키워드가 비교적 상위 키워드에 포함되었 다. 마지막으로 군집분석을 실시한 결과, 일반이슈 군집에는 외국인 근로자 도입이슈, 관련기관 및 기업이슈, 지역이슈 관련 키워드가 광범위하게 포함되었다. 반면 특화이슈 군집에는 인력난, 제조업 키워드와 더 밀접한 관계를 지니는 화성, 인천, 부산 등의 지역이 포함되어 관련 이슈에 대한 구체적인 논의가 이루어지고 있음을 파악할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 산업단지 외국인근로자와 관련된 주요 이슈를 파악하게 하고, 관련 연구 및 정책수립에 있어 일부 군집 지역에는 집중적인 검토와 분석이 필요할 수 있음을 시사한다.
