This study analyzes how project-based learning (PBL), using classical retelling, fosters creative thinking in university liberal arts education. Focusing on a team project reinterpreting Yi Gyu-bo's Seulgyeonseol, we investigated how 'Perspective Shift' and 'Interdisciplinary Connection' manifest through team collaboration. Our findings indicate that students experienced a 'Perspective Shift' by challenging conventional views and an 'Interdisciplinary Connection' by fusing different academic and cultural contexts. This collaborative process not only enhanced their creative thinking but also developed practical problem-solving skills. In conclusion, this research demonstrates that classical retelling within a PBL framework is an effective method for achieving the key educational goals of integrative thinking and creative competence, thereby fostering individuals capable of navigating and innovating in a complex, modern world.

본 연구는 대학 교양 교육에서 고전 리텔링(Retelling)을 활용한 프로젝트 기반 학습(Project-Based Learning, PBL)이 학생들의 창의적 사고를 어떻게 촉발하고 함양하는지 구체적으로 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 특히, 이규 보의 『슬견설』을 현대적으로 재해석한 팀 프로젝트 사례를 중심으로, 창의적 사고의 핵심 기제인 '관점 이동 (Perspective Shift)'과 '영역 간 연결(Interdisciplinary Connection)'이 팀 협업 과정에서 어떻게 발현되는지 탐색 하였다. 연구 결과, 학생들은 고전의 고정관념에서 벗어나 다양한 시각으로 문제를 재 정의하는 '관점 이동'을 경험했으며, 서로 다른 전공과 문화적 배경을 융합하여 새로운 가치를 창출하는 '영역 간 연결'을 시도하였다. 이러한 창의적 사고는 팀원 간의 끊임없는 소통과 피드백을 통해 촉진되었으며, 단순한 지식 습득을 넘어 문제 해결 능력에 영향을 미치는 실용적 창조 역량으로 이어졌다. 결론적으로, 본 연구는 고전 리텔링 기반의 PBL 이 대학의 교양 교육 목표인 융합적 사고력과 창의적 역량을 효과적으로 증진시키는 유효한 방법임을 밝히고있다.
