This study aims to analyze the lexical divergence of economic technical term used in South and North Korea, focusing on terms that denote the same economic concepts but are realized in different linguistic forms. The differences in economic technical term between the two Koreas are not merely superficial lexical variations, but stem from complex factors such as naming motivations, word formation structures, and state-driven language policies. To address this issue, the study extracted 563 corresponding terms from 『표준국어대사전』(South Korea) and 『거울2.0』(North Korea), all of which share conceptual equivalence yet differ in form. As a research method, the qualia structure theory was employed to assess conceptual alignment based on semantic categories. Building on this, the study applied the framework of onomasiological word formation theory to classify differences in naming structures. The analysis categorized the extracted terms into three types: differences in onomasiological heads (13%), differences in modifiers or markers (37%), and differences induced by state language policy (50%). This typology provides a structural basis for understanding how identical concepts are realized through divergent naming strategies in the two Koreas. Furthermore, it contributes to the development of a systematic integration model by identifying alignable lexical elements, thereby offering a foundation for the inter-Korean standardization of economic technical terms.

본고는 동일한 경제 개념을 지시함에도 서로 다른 어휘 형식을 사용하는 남북한의 경제 전문용어의 이질성을 분석하고, 이를 표현론적 조어론의 관점에서 통합하는 가 능성을 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 남북한의 경제 용어는 단순한 명칭 차이에 그치 지 않고 명명 동기, 조어 구조, 언어 정책 등 복합적 요인에 의해 상이한 표현 형식으로 나타난다. 이에 본고는 남한의 『표준국어대사전』과 북한의 『거울 2.0』에 등재되어 있 는 경제 용어 중 개념적으로 동일하나 형식적으로는 상이한 563개의 대응 항목을 추 출하였고, 특질구조 이론을 통해 의미 범주를 중심으로 개념 일치 여부를 판정하였다. 표현론적 조어론의 분석 틀을 적용하여 조어 형식의 차이를 유형화한 결과, 표현론적 핵의 차이에 해당하는 용어는 73개(13%), 표지의 차이는 211개(37%), 언어 정책에 의 한 차이는 279개(50%)로 나타났다. 이러한 유형화는 남북한이 어떻게 동일 개념을 상 이한 방식으로 명명하고 있는지를 구조적으로 규명할 수 있는 근거를 제공하며, 나아 가 통합 가능한 조어 요소를 선별하여 전문용어의 체계적 통합 방안을 제시하는 데 기여한다.
