This study diagnoses the crisis of faith transmission to the next generation faced by the Korean church, identifying its roots in the challenges of early childhood faith education, and proposes a practical alternative. It posits that the current crisis in early childhood faith education stems from a comprehensive 'paradigm failure,' characterized by a 'lack of integrated education' that separates faith from life, and 'inadequate educational methods' that overlook the holistic nature of children. Departing from the premise that practical theology must be applied to early childhood education —the foundational stage where basic faith is formed—this study utilizes Richard R. Osmer’s four tasks of practical theology. It reveals that the deep-seated causes of the crisis lie in a theological misunderstanding of children as immature beings and a church-centric mindset that neglects the role of the family. Accordingly, this study presents 'Story,' 'Integration,' and 'Community' as the normative principles for a new educational paradigm. 'Story' is the essential content for conveying biblical truths in a manner appropriate to children's development; 'Community' is the core environment where faith takes root through the union of church and family; and 'Integration' is the central methodology that brings these elements to life in the child's world. As a practical model that organically implements these three principles, this paper ultimately proposes the ‘Bible Storytelling Integration Model (BSIM)’. The BSIM is a holistic educational system designed to foster holistic growth by extending Bible stories through developmentally appropriate ‘story’ and ‘play,’ and to create a virtuous cycle of faith throughout all areas of life via a partnership between the church and the family. The primary contribution of this study lies not merely in its theoretical analysis but in presenting a practical model applicable to the educational context of the Korean church, including specific strategies for its integrated implementation in early childhood ministry. In particular, it offers specific strategies for holistically implementing the church's essential functions—didache (teaching), koinonia (fellowship), and leitourgia (worship) —without separation in the field of early childhood ministry. However, the successful implementation of the Bible Storytelling Integration Model (BSIM) necessitates further research on teacher professional development, support strategies for diverse family environments, and the creation of phased guidelines for small and medium-sized churches. It is hoped that the model proposed in this study will serve as a meaningful first step in guiding the next generation healthily.

본 연구는 한국교회가 직면한 다음 세대 신앙 전수의 위기를 ‘유아기 신앙교육’의 문제에서 발견하고, 이에 대한 실천적 대안을 모색한다. 오늘날 유아 신앙교육의 위기에 있어 신앙과 삶이 분리되는 ‘통합 교육의 부재’와 유아의 전인성을 간과하는 ‘올바른 교육 방법의 부재’라는 총체적인 ‘패러다임의 실패’에서 기인한다고 본다. 교회교육 기관 중 가장 기본적인 신앙교육이 형성되는 유아교육에도 실천신학이 적용되어야 한 다는 명제를 출발점으로 한다. 이에 리차드 오스머의 실천신학 4단계 과제를 따라 위 기의 심층 원인이 유아를 미성숙한 존재로 보는 신학적 오해와 가정의 역할을 간과하 는 교회 중심적 사고에 있음을 밝혔다. 본 연구는 새로운 교육 패러다임이 지향해야 할 규범적 원리로서 ‘이야기, 통합, 공동체’를 제시하였다. ‘이야기’는 성경의 진리를 유 아의 발달 특성에 맞게 전달하는 필수적인 내용이며, ‘공동체’는 교회와 가정이 연합 하여 신앙이 뿌리내리는 핵심 환경이다. 그리고 ‘통합’은 이 모든 것을 유아의 삶 속 에서 살아 움직이게 하는 중심 방법론이다. 이 세 가지 규범적 원리를 유기적으로 구 현하는 구체적인 실천 모델로서, 본고는 성경이야기를 통해 유아의 발달에 적합한 ‘이 야기’와 ‘놀이’로 확장하여 전인적 성장을 돕고, 교회와 가정의 파트너십으로 신앙이 삶의 전 영역으로 순환되도록 설계된 총체적인 교육 시스템인 ‘바이블스토리텔링 통합 모델(BSIM)’을 최종적으로 제안하였다. 본 연구의 가장 큰 의의는 이론적 분석에 그치지 않고, 유아 사역 현장에서 통합적으로 구현될 수 있는 구체적인 방안들을 포 함하여 한국교회 교육 현장에 적용 가능한 실천 모델을 제시했다는 데 있다. 특히, 디 다케(가르침), 코이노니아(교제), 레이투르기아(예배)라는 교회의 본질적 기능이 분리 되지 않고 유아 사역 현장에서 통합적으로 구현되도록 구체적인 방안들을 제시하였다. 그러나 ‘바이블스토리텔링 통합 모델(BSIM)의 성공적인 현장 적용을 위해서는 교 사 전문성 개발, 다양한 가정환경을 고려한 지원 전략, 중소형 교회를 위한 단계별 가 이드라인 마련 등 후속 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구가 제안하는 모델이 다음 세대를 건강하게 이끄는 유의미한 첫걸음이 되기를 기대한다.
